I suggest you watch the documentary "Fed Up".... Very interesting angle on sugar. Personally, I say clean eating all the way!

Add me if you like. You are so right to gather a squad of cheerleaders. Btw I cannot do that from my iPad either.

Add me too if you like. I have been here over 100 days and lots more to lose. It is good to gather friends!

Thanks. :)

It's not brutal, it is honest! It is true that I need to hold myself accountable and it is easier (at least for me) if I have a group of people I have to "report" to. Of course, I do it for myself to be healthier and to feel more confident but it is also not an easy task when things chaotic. Thank you for the advice and I…

I felt the same way. Losing weight has not necessarily provided me with this tight body... I have skin flapping on my arms but I am getting my weight down, I am losing inches and just hoping that I can firm up. But, really, like you I am happy not to be at my original weight. I think you have got the right idea, this is…

This is how I have been keeping focused as well. I have really kept my focus on what I can really eat and not what I can eat within my caloric count. Meal planning is huge for me. I often write out the day first thing in the morning so I know this is the plan and this is what I am sticking to for that day. It has worked…

Yep, this is a question I was asking myself. Not really sure but I think malibu927 is right. I think 1 pound a week is making more sense. I started with the 2lbs per week goal but soon found myself frustrated with the fact that I was eating 1300 calories, exercising in another 400 calories, not eating it back but not…

It seems like you are having lots of "hits" of food and nothing substantial. Personally, I can load up a huge salad for lunch made up of mixed greens, different veggies and then throw in some cut up chicken and I am satisfied for the afternoon. When I get to the end of the afternoon or even mid-afternoon I have a piece of…

Yah, I would not worry about having a detour day either. Those days are going to happen. I would analyze what you are eating though. Do you plan your day out ahead of time? I find that really helps me a lot to think it through and track what I will be eating before I get there. There seems to be a lot of "empty" calories…

Feel free to add me....I need all the support I can get and this is my daily go-to in order to achieve my goal.

I am wondering the same thing as kgeyser. Hmmm...nausea does not sound good. I think eating bread is definitely not the way to go. It sounds like that has been your go-to food in the past? I just finished watching some youtube videos on the Wheat Belly movement. He talks about the effects of wheat and our need for bread…

I really agree with these points. I find that I just cannot have that "food" in the house. I know it may seem unrealistic since the world is full of all those cookies and treats that I am avoiding but to come home to it as well seems unrealistic. I find that I am not feeling that need to nibble so much when I do have this…

Oh please count me in!! I would love to do this.

Although I am going to train myself to use the scale less, I just switched to the WW scale and am happy with it. I had a fancy scale that measured Fat percentage etc. etc. but it was always fluctuating and I never seemed to get "one" weight measurement. Anyway, so far so good with the WW digital scale.

Okay, definitely a mindset that I grew up with regarding the number on the scale. I also did the BMI test and scored "obese". I realize that can steer you off course mentally as well. I actually starting this weight loss process about one month prior to joining this site. It seems that once I joined the site and started…

I just joined...today! It is so reassuring to read your comment, life happens. I think the last time I went into weight loss I was struggling with being perfect about every single thing I ate and did that I was overwhelmed. This time I plan to do it differently. You look fantastic and it is easy to see that you feel…
