Sounds like she already bought them and is ok with taking them instead of just throwing them away.

I am one of those with a disability who simply can't do high level cardio or even much weight lifting. I walk a couple of times a week.. more like a slow stroll, and sometimes do a 1 mile Leslie Sansone video. I've lost 15 lbs in 5 months. Fortunately I've learned to love doing things the slow and steady way :) I am now…

It may sound smarmy but meditation is helping me. When I get cravings, I go off alone somewhere (down the hall, my bedroom, outside etc.. and spend a few minutes altering my perception of reality. It truly helps.

On my pc, at the end of the line, there is a '-' (minus) symbol. I just click on that and it goes away.

I am beginning to do the alternate day diet with reduced carbs. Just starting so nothing amazing to report. I'm 5'4" and have about 60 lbs to lose. I plan on taking my time, doing gentle exercise due to a disability and being patient with myself when I have 'off plan' days. Good luck with your journey.. feel free to friend…

Hi, I'm Becky. I live in the US (South Florida). I will alternate daily outdoor walks (semi rural neighborhood) with doing the Leslie Sansone 3 mile walk video from Youtube. Looking forward to the challenge. I start my new way of eating on Nov 4th (JUDDD) and this should fit right in. Best of luck to everyone!

The start date of my new way of eating (JUDDD + low carb) is Nov 4th so this would be perfect!! I'm in!

Love the song.. not much on whiskey but it's kinda nice in a belly warming way.. lol. I use the song for workouts.

I'm new to MFP but not weight loss. I think the most important place to start is decide on which weight loss plan will work best for you. On this community board, folks are doing many different diets but when you have a lot to lose, you have to choose one that can become a way of eating for you and not just a diet. Do your…

Welcome Cheeky.. I am also new to MFP and am of the Druid persuasion.. sorta kinda :p. Viola, being cheeky seems to come with our nature though I won't say that all Druids are cheeky.. When anything bothers me, I just go tell it to a tree. :p

I am new to MFP and considering JUDDD.. I've read many threads today and I have to say that this has been the most informative. Thanks to all for sharing info and resources!! I plan to start on Nov 4th (it's a timing thing.. lol) But I want to be well educated by then. I've done this in the past and remember being…

I am looking at this way of eating and seriously considering it. Have done it in the past and was successful for a short time. Looking to educate myself better about it and do it seriously this time. Will send friend request.

I just joined also and have been working on/planning my weight loss journey for about a month, slowly inducting myself into the idea that I can't keep eating whatever I want and expect to be healthy. I also have limitations due to disability...muscular dystrophy. Still on two legs thus far, thank the gods, but I do know…

I've been low carbing for about a month. Didn't do any type of induction, just began pushing away the breads, potatoes and pastas.. sugar etc. Have lost about 8 pounds.. didn't really pick a start date but now am ready to either hit it hard or switch to the alternate day diet.. we'll see. Baconslave, thanks for the link.

I'm planning to start JUDDD.. picking up the books from the library tomorrow but I think from MrGoogle I understand the basics. Was hoping for a more active thread but we'll see what happens.

I have limitations due to muscular dystrophy so walking will pretty much be my main exercise. Hopefully as the weight comes off, I'll be able to do more. Wish I had some wonderful words of wisdom for you...lol. But mostly it's just making the determination and sticking to it. Look forward to seeing you post more here in…
