New to the group and need motivation to lose 50 lbs.

I am Shakun and i am a new member. Need a lot of support and help from everyone.

  • I just joined this morning also. 57 yo and have 57 pounds to lose for goal weight. I'm still looking at which new way of eating that I will select for the long term. Lo carb/hi protein is a good option for me but also considering the Alternate Day plan.. I've started doing Walk Away The Pounds for exercise as well as some neighborhood walking now that the temps are dropping. What eating plan will you choose and are you planning to increase your physical activity?
  • I am going to follow low carb/high protein diet with regular visits to the gym.
  • I have limitations due to muscular dystrophy so walking will pretty much be my main exercise. Hopefully as the weight comes off, I'll be able to do more. Wish I had some wonderful words of wisdom for you...lol. But mostly it's just making the determination and sticking to it. Look forward to seeing you post more here in the forums though.
