I don't sync my steps with MFP - I just consider it a bonus. I only count the calories from an actual workout where my heart rate gets up and I break a sweat. Even then, I try to eat back about 1/2 the calories.

This happened to me.. on and off for 10 months! Turns out I was running in bad shoes. They were new, but Under Armour shoes are NOT good for running. I had to take about 3 weeks off, and get better running shoes. I haven't had any pain since.

You would probably like the 21 day fix, or if you're up for a challenge, 80 Day Obsession!

I'm about to start week 3 of 80 Day Obsession. I've been tracking calories on MFP, and I've gained 2 pounds since starting the program! I have about 30 pounds left to lose. I was wondering if anyone else has gained within the first few weeks of starting a program like this?

I'm starting 80 Day Obsession on the 30th. I'm excited to try, but heard it's pretty tough. Everyone seems to get great results though!

I'm in! I'm getting married in August and I need to look and feel good in that dress!! :)

I put it on hardboiled eggs!

I would recommend getting a heart rate monitor. That's the best/most accurate way to figure that out for any workout.

I love it. I weigh in weekly for my "official weight" but I like to see the fluctuations each week. Tells me how I'm doing and if I need to make some changes.
-
I never had any issues.

I would definitely try to at least cut back. Even though you're counting the calories, your body processes alcohol much differently than it would club soda, so you will definitely benefit. Drinking it every day isn't great for you anyways!

I think what matters most is that you find something that is sustainable for you. If you're completely depriving yourself of the things you enjoy, then you'll never be able to maintain. I enjoy my weekends and go over my calories quite often, but then am diligent throughout the week. If I turned down social events and…

You can definitely just weight in and leave, but I highly recommend trying a meeting or 2. I always leave so inspired and motivated for the week! Good luck!

Personally I love WW online. I did the meetings in the past and loved them too, but now it's just too difficult for me to get to one. I tend to be a perfectionist in that if I go over my calories, I'm likely to throw caution to the wind. The weekly points help me maintain my sanity a little. I also think that their making…

Weight Watchers has a little more structure to it, which is why I think I do better with it (I just do it online - can't afford meetings unfortunately). I like the unlimited fruits/vegetables, and having the Weekly points allows me to have balance without feeling guilty that I went over my points/calories. However I love…

I like being able to flip through the pages of a small notebook to see how I've been doing and what I've been eating if I need ideas. Then a couple times a week I'll go on MFP and input all of my meals. I just can't seem to decide which method I like best, so I do both!

Best thing I bought was a wine glass that has calorie measurements right on it from Etsy. It's not difficult to drink 4000 calories in wine!

I went through the same thing when I originally lost weight (before I gained it back, sadly). I think I almost got kind of comfortable where I was - I wanted to lose more, but since I had so much less to lose, it didn't feel as urgent. With that, I think my tracking slacked and maybe I cheated a little more than I would…

I allowed myself to eat some of the lunch that was catered for work today. I often don't let myself because it's not often the healthiest, but then I end up eating crap the rest of the day almost in resentment. Today I had a little bit and fit it into my calories and I'm much happier.

Thanks! Maybe I should start journaling...
-
I will have a whole "new" wardrobe once I can fit back into my clothes!!

The sad thing is, I'm not new to this. Right after college I did weight watchers and I lost about 60 lbs. I kept it off for about 5 years, and then life happened. It's never been easy for me, but I know I can do it. I guess that's what I have to keep telling myself! Thanks for relating!

I would try and plan you meals for the day. If it's not in your plan for the day, then you shouldn't eat it!

My Doctor told me that it's crucial to limit sugar/carbs due to my high cholesterol. I just try to be mindful.

I take fish oil every day, twice a day as my doctor prescribed. Occasional fishy burps, but rarely. Also definitely helps maintain my triglycerides. As I went from once a day to twice a day, the number significantly improved.

I find that my fitbit has always grossly overestimated my calorie burn for my steps. I decided to unsync it from MFP, and just log any actual workouts for my calorie adjustments. Getting all of my steps in is still important, but I don't want to use my steps from walking around the office as a workout calorie adjustment.

These are all great suggestions, thanks!. My issue is definitely that if I eat one thing, it's a slippery slope for the rest of the day. Not because I'm restricting my calories, but because I just want the yummy treats! I'm going to try to plan ahead, and stock my drawer with healthy alternatives so that I have other…

Yea, true. Or I was thinking like actual money haha. Maybe like $2/day that I stick to my planned food. At the end of busy season I can buy myself something.
