  • Thanks for all the suggestions! Can't wait to try all of them out!
  • I always felt that I HAD to get "value" out of free lunches at work. A co-worker said to me " its costing you something in the long run", since then I find it much easier to say no thank you, or to eat only what fits within my food budget. Monetary value isn't the only consideration.
  • I tried it. By the time I added a banana, peanut butter, and almond milk in order for it to taste halfway decent I was drinking a +300 calorie shake that was not filling and still tasted bad to me. Its also REALLY expensive. The kicker is BB coaches will say its cheaper than your daily coffee...except I would NEVER spend…
  • I weigh daily and I enter it in MFP. I also weigh myself through the day to get a feeling for my weight fluctuations through-out the day. Its all data to me, I have said it before...I LOVE spreadsheet so the more data the better. I have found that I will see a big drop ( for me thats more than a pound) after I work out…
  • This is such a good point. Especially with certain shoes you can't even see the parts that are broken down within the shoe. (Except for my running shoes that were 5 years old and still in the box :D ) I have a pair of walking shoes, a pair of running shoes, and finally a pair of flat athletic shoes I use for strength…
  • I have found my symptoms get worse every time I start losing. Thanks to depo and mirena I haven't had a cycle in 8 years which I started when surgery failed to help. Right now I am down 9 lbs from the beginning of the year and almost 20 from when I started a year ago and I have yet to find ANYTHING that helps.
  • I did WW for about 9 months. My company reimbursed us for 2 out of 3 at work sessions, and the meetings were also at our office around lunch time once a week. I did it for the social aspect of it. I found the points to be too simplistic of a view of food. I also stopped losing because if I was hungry I'd eat fruit which…
  • I was on it for a brief amount of time for migraines as well. I lost weight but not nearly as much, probably 5 pounds or so almost immediately. I actually had some really bad side effects that weren't worth it( loss of feeling in fingers and a definite brain fog) so I am not longer on it and only took it for about 2 months.
  • I weigh myself every morning and log it here and also a spreadsheet I made. That spreadsheet also pulls out every Monday weigh-in on a separate sheet and graphs it. This Monday weight is usually what I say I weigh. The spreadsheet also takes a weekly average, using the weekly weight loss and then roughly calculates based…
  • That was my goal that I achieved last year! My first 5K was in April and finished off my 5th on Thanksgiving. Same goal this year, in addition to 5 I would like to get my time down to 35:00.
  • I face a lot of lunch meetings complete with boxed lunches that are generally anything but healthy. I always felt like I NEEDED to eat them because they are provided. Or on business trips I NEEDED dessert to feel like I was getting what my company allowed since my time was being used, however a co-worker gave me the best…
