It's worked for me. I've been averaging about 35 carbs/day for 6 months, and am down 32lbs. I've also lowered my calorie intake considerably--and track it religiously--which is obviously a key component.

Have you moved your macros around? Maybe lower your carbs, increase your healthy fats, and see what that might impact?

I had chips and queso with my salad Saturday night; boom, up 2.2lbs on Sunday. It's taken me until yesterday (Thursday) to go back to where I was before, so 4-5 days. This is so true. I did a full Ironman some years back and lost, over the 6-8 months I trained for it, about 9lbs. That was with training 2x/day, with 3 workouts on Saturdays, up to 20 hours total per week. The problem was that I was burning so many calories that I was hungry all the time and definitely NOT eating properly.…

I've been on a low card lifestyle for 4 months now and did, at first, cut out all sweeteners. I do add a bit of stevia now to some drinks, and it hasn't really affected my weight loss. Some other are more stringent, I'm sure.

Hi--feel free to check out my eating diary. I've been doing this for about 11 weeks now and have lost 18lbs with very little hunger. I eat about 25-30 carbs/day. Probably going to up the amount of calories here soon, but it's ween working amazingly well.
