SW: 248 (week 1) 2 week: didn't weigh 3 week: 247.4 4 week: 247.0 5 week: 246.7 6 week: 246.3 GW: 233 UGW: 160-170 -1.7 pounds! LO starts daycare next week, so I anticipate that that it'll start getting easier to make healthy decisions (as well as having time to work out!)

C210K 3 times per week. I'm hoping to join a gym and do some classes, but it's hard making the time, when I can accomplish a whole workout in just the time it takes to get to the gym and ready to work out.

SW: 248 (week 1) 2 week: didn't weigh 3 week: 247.4 4 week: 247.0 5 week: 246.7 GW: 233 UGW: 160-170 -1.3 pounds! So, looks like I'm loosing consistantly around 1/3 of a pound per week! Definitely not as fast as I'd like to be losing, but with LO starting daycare in another week, I think that I'll be able to pick up the…

@angelhinson69 - You say that you're eating below the minimum calorie allowance that MFP will accept- that's your problem! It's unhealthy to eat so little, especially when you're working out. Your body is likely in starvation mode and is trying to hold on to the little you're giving it. Why not try for a slower, more…

SW: 248 (week 1) 2 week: didn't weigh 3 week: 247.4 4 week: 247.0 GW: 233 UGW: 160-170 Lost 1 pound so far! Progress is slow going, but I'm proud of myself. I didn't do as well with eating extra veggies this week as I had intended, but did notice my appetite was much better when I did so, so I will be trying again this…

SW: 248 (week 1) 2 week: didn't weigh 3 week: 247.4 GW: 233 UGW: 160-170 Total so far: -0.6 Goal for the week is to eat at least 5 servings of veggies per day! I'm hoping that it will help to better fill me up in lieu of less healthy snack options.

I think one of the biggest factors is time. If you plan to lose the weight over say 2 years vs. 1, your skin will be more likely to adjust well.

Reduced milk supply is my concern as well. I have 27 pounds to go to prepregnancy weight (and a lot to go after that), so I'm trying to lose at 1pound per week. This is my first week at it (just cleared by OB on Monday), so we'll see how it goes. If I do drop supply, I'll wait it out until after LO is weened. As much as…

Feel free to add me as well! I have around 80-90 pounds to lose!

It really depends on you. Some people closely follow their micro nutrients, others macros, and some are primarily concerned withcalories only.

Hey guys! I'm Katherine. I lost over 62 pounds with MFP over 1 1/2 years. However, I got pregnant midway through my journey. I'm currently up 27 pounds from my prepregnancy low and want to lose an additional 54-64 pounds beyond that to get to a healthy weight. My ultimate goal is to lose the 80-90 pounds over the next 3…

Late joiner as well! SW: 248 GW: 233 UGW: 160-170 At this point, I'm hoping to lose at an average of around 1/2 a pound per week over the course of my full weight loss journey. Obviously will likely lose the early pounds faster, but want to try to set good expectations so that I don't get too frustrated when my weight loss…

Feel free to add me! I'm also looking to lose the post baby weight. I have 20 pounds to get back to prepregnancy weight, but ultimately need to lose 80-90 in order to get to a healthy BMI.

Feel free to add me! I'm looking to lose 80 pounds.

There are a bunch of reasons to cut out soda: tons of chemicals, erodes enamel on teeth and lining of throat/stomach/etc due to acidic nature, bloat, and adds unnecessary caffeine, to name a few. Additionally, there have been numerous studies that suggest correlations with obesity, blood sugar issues, and slow metabolism.…

Russian Sweet & Sour Cabbage Soup is supper yummy... Diet though? You realize this site is about lifestyle changes, not get thin quick schemes.

My husband used to rely on soda for caffine in the mornings. After we gave soda up, he found that he could actually manage just fine without it. I find that he is MUCH less irritable now.

Because you're neutralizing your palette. Also, for some people, a certain beverages can signal food cravings, like if you typically have a pastry with your coffee or dessert with your tea.

I think the most important step is to reduce the amount of sweets you eat daily so that you get a better sweet fix when you do eat sweets. A great way to start is to drink only/primarily water for several weeks to help your body readjust.

I agree with those above who say you let it go andmove on. The other thing is that I only do workouts that I can do at home or in my neighborhood. It's more sustainable for me to run around the neighborhood or pop in a workout video than deal with the extra time and money of going to the gym.

I've lost 60 pounds and have gone from a tight 40H to a loose 36H. I still have 50 pounds to go, but would guess that I will probably only go down another band. I lose weight pretty proportionally overall, maybe slightly slower in my core.

What concerns me is how low you were eating during your first round of weight loss, how quickly you lost 90 pounds, and your referred comments to going on and off the diet. I think the people who are most successful look at MFP as a method to change their lifestyle, not as a diet tool. I think that once you consider this…

completely changing up your routines every month for maximum results. Finally, how intense are your workouts? As Billy Blanks says, "You have you give some to get some." Best of luck to you!

My questions for you are: 1. What is your actual weight? When I started, I had 108 pounds to get to the top of a normal bmi (5'10", 282 pounds). 2. What activity level are you set at in MFP? I've gotten the best results when I stay at sedentary and log all exercise. 3. How much of your exercise calories are you eating…

Agreed. Can you buy your own set of weights to use at home?

Absolutely amazing everyone! :)

I have been overweight/obese since late elementary school. At the time I started losing weight, I was at the low end of morbidly obese. My doctor recommended that I set my goal weight for a ten pound range (5 pounds either side) of the top of the 'overweight' range for my height. I am currently 12 pounds away from the top…

I've heard that Wendy's has great salads.

A good alternative to junk food out is to make it at home with some easy swaps. For example, a grilled burger at home is around half the calories of a sit down burger joint. Love fries? If you buy frozen ones and bake them instead of fry in oil, it's much lower in fat and sodium. My favorite swap is pizza. Frozen pizza may…
