Today I walked 20 minutes (round-trip) up and down long, steep hills hauling a loaded backpack and a lawn chair. In between that, I walked Dottie 20 minutes. @Deeder522 Good workout! Take good care and many blessings to you and Ry 💜 @zichab Sounds like a lovely day today for you! I love days like that 😊 @megd44…

Today - AM: 45 minutes Boot Camp (cardio/strength mix) . PM: 20 minute walk with Dottie around the block. @Deeder522 Great job on your miles! And good job taking a break last week 🧡

Yesterday I walked Dottie 20 minutes. @megd44 Oh no, ticks are the worst! Along with fleas and mosquitos. Oh yeah, that's not a good sign for this time of year for sure:/ An excellent workout bathing the dog, and then cleaning up! A huge job. I remember those days. Great workouts all around! @zichab Congratulations! And…

Saturday: Well, I did not go to Step class yesterday as planned because I ended up being a lazy slug! 😂😴 But I did walk Dottie for 20 minutes around the bend and back. And I did cook all the day yesterday, a favorite pastime! Cooking is like a leisurely meditation in motion for me, very relaxing and healing 😊 On fun…

Thursdays are usually an exercise resting day for me, but this past Thursday I ended up getting the afternoon off work, a very rare occurrence! So, I took Dottie for a 20 minute walk. Friday was another walk with Dottie, 20 minutes. Today I plan to go to Step class and another walk with Dottie. @zichab Good morning! You're…

@zichab Gold Star for doing 2 miles when you didn't feel like it!! Well done! ⭐️ Thank you for all your helpful thoughts and comments about bettas, good to know. I only had the one betta, Finley, who was the solitary resident in the tank. That's great you had a friend who took in your bettas. Oh my, yes, cats are super! I…

Today I did Tai Chi class for 30 minutes. This afternoon I walked Dottie for 45 minutes in the cold rain with wind. At times it was sleeting. I only saw one other walker out with a dog. We are supposed to get some snow tonight, but no accumulation.

3/16 (Sunday): I walked with Dottie for 20 minutes actual walking time. However, because it was such a nice day everyone was out, and because Dottie is so popular (have I told you all that Dottie is a bulldog?) and everyone that was out wanted to visit with her. 3/17 (Monday): 60 minutes Boot Camp (Circuit Training);…

@Deeder522 Great job walking! And that's fantastic you did a 3 mile video… way to GO!!! ⭐️ @Deeder522 So very sorry to hear about Ryan. You are both in my prayers 🙏 That must be such a relief to have found a disability lawyer to help you move forward on this.

I did not do any workout or walk on Friday as I ended up getting busy with my fish who is sick. But now I'm realizing that fish care is a workout all on its own! 💪 I used to do Finley's water changes weekly but now during comfort care, I do them every other day until he is either well or passes away (hopefully he will get…

Today: 65 minutes Tai Chi done. That was it, but it was plenty. Tomorrow is a rest day. See you all Friday or so!

Today I did 60 minutes Les Mills Body Combat. Wow, that is such a tough workout. But I could tell that I'm a tiny bit improved from last week, so that's amazing. Oh and there are 37 steps down to get to my rehearsal on Tuesday nights (and then, of course, back up at the end). I finally remembered to count them tonight. I…

Today I did 45 minutes Boot Camp (Tabata-style). The class is 60 minutes, but I was late. It's okay though, my face still got red as a beet! 😁 @Deeder522 You're doing great! Sorry to hear you had a horrible weekend though. That's cool you have a step! I'll have to look Jenny Ford up, lol! I think Step is great for the mind…

Hello! Finally getting caught up here now. I have a dear pet fish who is in a challenging and stressful (health) crisis and that has been keeping me overly occupied and stressed lately. If I'm not doing water changes for him or dashing out to the pet store, I'm researching how to help him in all my spare time. Fish illness…

Today is my exercise "rest day" although Thursdays never feel like a rest day as they are the fullest and longest day of the week for me. I'm already tired thinking about it, lol! 😅 This is a long, sitting, front desk, talking workday (I'm an introvert) and also a day I feel like I drive clear around the world to go to…

@Deeder522 You tried and that's all anyone can do! Good job! 💜 I did not go to my Tai Chi class today because I didn't want to get there and then find no one there due to the weather, so I stayed home and shoveled the driveway instead. Here's my report: I shoveled all the snow and ice off the driveway today, 90 minutes…

Today 3/4: I did 60 minutes Les Mills Combat. Wow, that was really hard. But I hadn't been to that class for 6 months or so and maybe longer. I came home and took a nap after, lol. @megd44 Thanks! Me too, that was a surprise. I'm so glad you got some sunshine! 🌞 @Deeder522 Thanks! Very cool that we have Tai Chi in common!…

March Goals (as of 3/3): 1) Return to my favorite group workout classes at my gym 2) Fit little walks in, in between, whenever I can Here's my gym workout class schedule (with extras): Mondays: Boot Camp Tuesdays: Les Mills Body Combat and/or Yoga (either Chair or Gentle Yoga, whichever my schedule allows at the time, or…

Hello! After my last check-in here on 2/26, I wasn't able to do anything else to close out the month, exercise-wise. Days got away from me (but that's okay too because I think that Life must be lived in whatever way is the need of the hour). But I did think about exercising, and sometimes that is a first baby step to…

Sorry for my absence. I need to get better at reporting here more often, will work on that. Walked my dad's dog over the weekend, 25 minutes. Yesterday I worked two hours cleaning up my garden area and it looks so much better now! Raked up old leaves, pulled old tomato plant vines, dug up a pot I buried (had to bury the…

I've decided that shoveling snow is a walking / strength workout. Yesterday morning (2/18): I shoveled snow for 50 minutes in a cold, light 15 mph wind, around 4* or so. Snow was powdery so I was able to mostly just push it around (instead of lift and carry). Hauled some wood after that. It snowed all day yesterday, light…
-
Today: I shoveled the little bit of snow on the driveway, about 10 minutes; and then I hauled wood for 20 minutes. @Deeder522 Cool! Will do:) Good reason for doing the longer workouts, makes sense! @zichab Thank you! LOL!!! That's a good one, well said (about getting buried in the MO snows, lol! :) This past week was just…

My walks and workouts this past week: Mon. 2/10: Leslie Sansone's Burn Body Fat 3 Mile Walk - I'm questioning why I chose to do this longer workout first, lol! But it was fine. This was my first workout with Leslie, and she's fun! Thank you all for introducing me to her :) Wed. 2/12: 50 minutes snow shoveling our driveway…

@Deeder522 Thank you for the warm welcome:) Yes, you're right, I'm south of you all hanging out here in Missouri :) It's hit or miss with the snow for us here. Thank you so much for sharing your winter weather reports, I'd love that! Good to know about that and the national Jello week fun facts :) Happy Anniversary! Yes,…

@megd44 Thank you for the welcome:) I'm good with just a few folks being active here, and I like a small but mighty group! The last group I was in ended recently, sadly, after many years of going strong. So thank you to those of you here who have kept this group going for so long! I've never been a dedicated walker, being…

Hello! I'm new to this group, glad to be here, and just now getting around to introducing myself. My goals for February are on the simpler side for now: 1) to ease back into exercising again, and 2) to eat at least 5 servings of fruit/vegetables per day. Last week I got some walks in by helping my dad out by walking his…
