  • I do mwf 22 hours and it really helps on my off days I usually fast 16 hours. I’ve lost 38 pounds in 5 months but i also eliminated sugar and limited my carbs and always stay in a deficit. I like IF because it keeps me on track if I start eating in the morning then I figure what the hell and eat too much. It’s a head game!
  • I did cut carbs and eliminate sugar, I was drinking a lot of coke so stopped that it was pretty drastic but I didn’t want to get put on diabetic meds. I take Naomi berberine 500 mg. Also intermittent fasting mwf for 22 hours.( the diabetes code, Jason fung) upped my MFP account to measure the carbs and kept it below 46 net…
  • I take a berberine supplement, I only take one at night instead of the recommended 2 per day. I started it to help lower my A1c. I made serious lifestyle changes and do IF 3 days a week, I’ve lowered my A1c from 6.9 to 5.5, in 4 months and lost 36 pounds. Im 8 pounds away from a “normal “ bmi for the first time in 40 years!

I read, The diabetes code by Dr Jason Fung and he recommends it to bring down your numbers and get your system working efficiently again. I do 24 hours mwf, then 16/8 on the others days. I’m also not…

I am relegated to my basement and some hand…

  • Wow ! Thank you so much for that Trina and congratulations!... I don't belong to a gym but have a treadmill and dumb bells and I know I won't "go" to a gym but I go to my basement every morning at 5:30, is it possible to do the weight lifting at home or should I suck it up and join a gym? Thanks again for the awesome…
  • So nice to see so many like minded, and trying to get their *#@* together! I read a lot of the threads and keep going back to the flat belly one, does anyone here understand and want to explain to me the whole "lean mass" and "fat mass" or whatever the heck it is, and lifting weights how much and how long. I just want to…
  • I don't know how to join a group but would love to ... Please post the how to's:)
  • I'm 54, post menapausal and have been on mfp for a few years but just got serious 111 days ago, I wanted to start to lose weight before Christmas, since it's a downfall for me usually. I've lost 23 pounds, and want to lose another 20 to get below my healthy BMI for the first time in my life! I'm more of a lurker than a…
