Adjusted my fitbit stride based on a known mileage. I ran 5 but my fitbit tracked 6.5. Running tonight another known distance so will be able to see if this is more accurate.

Did you try to do a reset? Put the Flex on the charger then take a paper clip and insert it into the little hole near. I had to do that every so often. But I eventually upgraded to the Charge. My husband lost his Charge last week on a roller coaster. I'm going to try to email them to see what they say. Thanks for the tip!

Love the ears @taeliesyn! Finished C210K last night with a full 60 minute run. Very slow pace but my goal was to keep running. With the 5 minute walks on each end I completed 5 miles which is a personal best distance for me. I did walk 3 times for about 30 seconds each just to catch my breath but got it going again…

If I carry it around in a bucket can I count it as exercise too?

Just did 3 miles last night (I can't believe I am able to say "Just 3 miles") so tried to pick up my speed. I don't know what my pace was but I know it was faster than usual and it felt pretty good. Rest day today then tomorrow for my first 60 minute run with no walk. Hoping that will be 5 miles.

Easy Peasy! 4.5 miles. I'm going to have to look for a new route soon since I'm already doing a loop twice and can't see going a 3rd time around.

Rode EVERY SINGLE ROLLERCOASTER at Cedar Point - because I could! Even the ones the Hubs couldn't fit in - Best Day Ever. I lost 2 pounds last week while on vacation (even while eating S'mores and Ice Cream cones every day!)

Post vacation recovery and trying to get back into a normal routine. Starting on W13 tonight with two 22 minute intervals. My brain is telling me this will be easier than the three 18 minute intervals. I'll let you know what my body thinks. I will miss running in the state park - that was sweet!

Sunday did 5 miles and felt great the whole way. Did about 5 telephone pole to telephone pole speed bursts. I'm at my max distance ever now. 10k is in sight! Still 12-13 minute miles but I'm more concerned with distance than speed right now. Slow 30 minute run with Hubs today.

Well done!!!

4.5 miles last night W12D1 18 min intervals. Did fine until the last 5 minutes and then really dragged. Would have probably stopped if I wasn't so close to home. So... off night and will try again Thursday.

C25K 20 minute run of W5D3 with Hubs. So proud of him! Hard to believe I was there just in March. I'm in week 12 (18 min intervals) this week.

Saturday up early and ran with Hubs for a 2 miles. He is on W5D2 which is two 8 min intervals. Nice thing is that we ran 15 min mile which is faster than he started. Good to see his progress. We signed up for a 5k end of September. They also have a half and full marathon which will be fun to see. Tonight I start on week 12…

Sort of scale related but not really: I am down .5 pound today after having been on a plateau/slight increase for about 3 weeks. The NSV is that I didn't give up trying to figure out what was going on. I tightened up my logging. I exercised more. I got more sleep. DON'T GIVE UP TRYING!!!!!!

Good run for me last night. Left the house planning on only 2 miles. But the first 1.5 miles was so smooth! In the past I get a mental block at about 2 miles that if I work through I'm good for another 1 to 1.5 miles. I'm seeing that stumbling point move back to about the 3 mile mark now. Ended with a total of 4.5 miles…

If you started at say 215 on your home scale and are down to 205 pounds now. And on your mom's scale it would have said you started at 212 and are now down to 202. You've still lost 10 pounds! Either way you have lost the same amount. Nice work! Keep going!

We have a 1.5 mile (approx.) outdoor paved trail that goes around the perimeter of the YMCA property. Lots of use by walkers, joggers, bicyclists, dogs, roller bladers, etc. I swear it is uphill the whole way around! I'm going to go the other direction next time just to mix things up. 2.5 times around tonight for…

Ran last night even though I really didn't want to. "You never regret a run - only the one you didn't do."

Hubs is on W5D1 of C25k so ran with him last night. Then 2 laps around the block (about 1/3 mile per lap) as fast as I could sprint. Total about 2.5 miles. W11D1 for me tonight - three 17 minute intervals. Should be about 4 miles plus the walking before and after.

Tried it. Failed. Hangry. Now I run to earn more calories. I typically range from 1500-1700 (sometimes higher) and am much happier and can sustain at this pace.

Was able to hold my own in a water balloon fight with 10 seven year old boys at Bible School this week without getting winded.

Discovered running is a head, heart, and body activity. As long as I've got 2 of the 3 in sync I do ok. If I can get all 3 going in the same direction at once I'll be unstoppable!

I found that if I carry nail clippers and a file with me I don't bite them. I tended to bite them when I got a snag or chip and ended up ripping them off.

Slow short run with the Hubs who's on W4D3 of C25K. Late evening and hot with lots of mosquitos. Could feel the need/want to do more but time would not allow. W10D3 for me tonight no matter how late.

My 2nd 5k race on Saturday. Pretty consistent with my first race in May. May = 38:32. Saturday = 38:26. Average 12.24 minute miles. They were a fast bunch so I had to work pretty hard at going my own pace and not worrying about being at the tail end of the runners. Of the 284 runners I placed 267. 15th in my age group.…

1. I have a dresser drawer just for workout clothes 2. No donut at the morning staff meeting 3. I signed up for my first 10k race (Halloween) and I'm not a bit concerned that I won't be ready

I currently run in the evenings about 7pm. Enough to let dinner settle but not so late that my endorphins keep me awake at night. Next week I'm helping at our church every night so won't get home until after 9. So looks like if I'm going to run it needs to be done in the morning. QUESTION: How do I fuel for an early…
