I'm exactly the same way. Life happens and I wind up losing track of where I was at. Then I come back to MFP and start all over again. It really is discouraging, but you have to hold your head high and keep going!

When I'm sick, I listen to my body. Allergies I can handle. Even sinus infections I can usually workout with. But coughing, severe congestion, body aches? I stay home. Your body fights hard enough to destroy bacteria/viruses and it needs rest to continue fighting it.

You could do yoga while away. There are so many apps and free youtube videos ranging in length and it's something you can do right inside your room (out of sight of the in-laws).

My ex and I broke up and I went through the same thing. He cheated, broke my heart. I went about a month without really eating. But then I realized that it wasn't really the end of the world. He wasn't the one. I started taking better care of myself, going out with friends, and eating again. Everybody grieves in different…

I started with free yoga and pilates videos in my living room. Early morning/early evening walks outside are generally cooler as well.
-
What have you been eating? Empty calories can leave you feeling that was as well.

I hate working out as well. To be perfectly honest, I didn't step foot into the gym until about 6 months into my lifestyle change. I started with yoga and pilates at home. I gradually introduced tae-bo. I walked around the neighborhood (no, it doesn't burn the most calories, but it's still good for your heart). The only…

Congrats! Each milestone is another victory and marker in your journey to your new lifestyle! :)

Moderation. You don't have to cut everything...just start eating it in moderation. Instead of giving in to the urge to eat an entire row of cookies, have 2 and then put it away. If the temptation is too great to continue, get rid of those foods for a while. My fiance can't give up foods if they're still in the house. He…

Same here! If I don't find a way to keep myself accountable... I make excuses and backslide.

I just bought a FitBit Flex and it's already helped quite a bit. I can see my sleeping patterns and determine exactly why I'm so tired every day (turns out I'm up 7 or 8 times a night - which would make sense). I wore it on the elliptical this morning and the MFP corrected calories burned for the FitBit were only 3 off…

I have struggled with it for a very long time. I'm on the path to overcoming it though. I started by pre-measuring and planning everything I was going to eat. That included snacks, meals, beverages...everything. I'd document everything, day by day, and add a check mark next to things once I had consumed them. When I'd get…

Great goals!

Awesome goals! I have been working on the water intake too...that's a tough one for me but I just add a little more water each day :)

You're welcome to add me :) I've got about 73 pounds to go

Right now my tracker says I have 70 to lose, but I know that I need to lose more than that to get to a healthy BMI. My thoughts were, I'll set a goal, I'll reach it, and then I'll set another goal. I didn't want to set the entire goal at once because I've done that in the past and it just discouraged me to see I had so…

I was on their site earlier and it still lists the HR as an 8-10 week pre-order. I'm not sure what that's about if they're available though.
-
That's the problem. There's pros and cons to both...and ultimately, the HR is the same as the Charge with a few more features. I just don't know if the few extra features are worth it.
-
So the Charge HR seems accurate compared to others? My other question is where did you get yours from? I can't seem to find any stores or release date information besides Spring of 2015.
-
I used to do that, and then I realized I was wayyyy too far under my calories each day. Now I "snack". I don't eat meals at meal times, but I make sure that I'm not just eating one time a day...especially not at dinner time. I try to stop eating after 5 pm so I can have at least a 14 hour fast each night.
-
I don't really need the GPS either. I have RunKeeper, which uses the GPS on my phone and is very accurate (I tested it quite a few times). I've been using the hrm on the workout equipment at the gym, I just don't have that capability at home right now. I've also read a lot of reviews...just nothing strong enough to sway me…
-
Thank you everyone! I'm thinking that the Charge will be the way to go for me :) It'd be nice to have an hrm for when I go running around the sub division, but to be honest, it's not the biggest priority for me.
-
I didn't know it was available already? Where did you see it?
-
Do you worry about the accuracy of it? I use the chest strap hrm in the gym, which is more accurate than the handle bar hrms, and I'm worried that the Charge HR will be off in its readings too.

It didn't motivate me at all. In fact, my biological father calling me fat as a little kid has made a permanent impression in my mind. He and I never got along after that. It destroyed my self-esteem, my relationship with him, and it hit hard enough to send me into a depression. The fact is, I am overweight. But I…
