Don't try to tough out the pain. Take your pain meds the doctor gave you. Like Randy said, it will get better each day. Hang in there!

To put the answers I put here in context, I feel it is important to note that I had the RNY procedure and stayed 2 nights in the hospital. My surgery was on March 9th, so I am still pretty fresh out of surgery and at this point still in the pureed food stage. What do you wish you had taken to the hospital with you?…

Congrats on such a successful journey this far. You look so healthy and happy now. Inspiration for me, thank you!

Thanks Renae. It sounds like your' doing pretty great yourself. Your frame of mind seems perfect for what is ahead of you. Awesome outlook. Makes me sure you will be successful.

I didn't have one. I wanted to go have a cubano sandwich before my pre-op diet, but never made it.
-
YAY!! Congrats!

Hey Renae! How nice that you are asking everyone how things are going. I am now in the pureed stage and struggling with getting all my water & protein in. Apparently it is something a lot of people struggle with initially. Can't believe it's been almost a month now. How are you doing? Have you gotten your surgery date yet?

Did you have the sleeve? My surgeon said those that have the sleeve are very apt to develop GERD/acid reflux. And those that had it prior to their surgery could get worse afterward. You will want to discuss with your surgeon for sure. Why wait till your appointment? Call them and let them know. Maybe they can help right…

No, that's exactly how I wanted that picture. Thank you for your input though.

It is good! Give it a try and let us know what you think!

Kelona, a while back someone posted about what to have during the pureed stage. I had made note when tat2cookie posted that she lived off a concoction she made in her crockpot. Well I finally hit the puree stage and wanted to make this. It is apple chicken sausage links (I got it at the Sprouts meat counter), sweet…

Okay, awesome. I will see what I can find to add to it then. Thanks for your response! And yes, it was quite yummy. I can see why you said you lived off that.

Congratulations and good luck with your new journey!

Great job! You can see such a difference already!

Great posts everyone! Y'all are all amazing, and I appreciate the wonderful ideas.

So glad you're doing well! Don't push the body. It will come. You just had major surgery and need to work into things slowly. (I know you know this but I am just reiterating)

Oh jm1fullerton you speak my language! You are also dadgummed inspiring as I watch your posts in my feed! Thanks to everyone for your input.
-
I didn't have the same pre-op diet as you, so unfortunately I have little to no information to offer. But I do want to wish you good luck on your surgery coming up!

Good luck badhair! Everyone seems to be different. The recliner was the place that was most comfortable for a little more than a week. Then it took me until about was about a week and a half out before I could sleep on my side.

Welcome! RNY 3/9/15. Feel free to add me, too.

Amazing post Rob. You have been such a wonderful example for us all. Thank you for sharing your wisdom.

I am so glad they did the scan and found nothing. It is so much better to be safe than sorry. I hope you find the source of your problem, but I am kind of with the others in that I think it is a vitamin/supplement issue.

First of all, lmryoung, congrats on your newborn, and WLS date. I wish you much success with your journey. TN_Tinker congrats on getting your surgery date! The hard part is over, now for your new life to begin. Jillcwatson1 congrats on your success this far, you can do the rest! As for me… Where you are in the WLS process?…

As my NUT said, what goes in, is what comes out. Very normal.

Fun chart!

Nice! Thanks for sharing!

Congratulations!

Oh....hadn't even thought about this. Will need to talk to my surgeon at my follow up to see what he says about this. Thanks for the heads up.
