I've heard that HIIT brings some people to a deeper ketosis. I've hit my stride and can do either intense short or moderate long exercise, moderate exercise doens't seem to do anything one way or another. HIIT makes me have keto breath the next day.

Yeah, I'll be happy to transfer out of JC next semester. We have chicken strips (battered, deep fried) french fries (cooked in lard), those flimsy little burger patties on a bun, veggies are usually welted. The salads are good quality, but they're premade/can't be customized, and like you I just can't eat them everyday. I…

You can also microwave them too make them soft and sticky, the cinnamon role one was really good that way.

Yup, I'm all good there. But the purple app isn't compatible. Strange I know. Samsung s3 was a generation too soon.
-
I can use the tracker-just not the app sans tracker.

If you just got out, I agree to take it easy. Protein shakes were one of the first things I could really consume. Muscle milk light is around 8 ounces, it was a nutritious small meal for me when nothing else would stay down.
-
Its sadly not compatible with my phone.

I don't want or like most carb replacers, but I will make almond flour bread sometimes. It makes for a good way to get my calories up. Plus I'm burned out on it by day two, it doesn't trigger any cravings.

Hmmm. I have had gastric paresis for 4 years. I've never been told to limit my fats, never. In fact, I was put on this diet and some medication to resolve those issues as they were part of an underlying condition. What type of doc told you this? I found my Gastro to be totally useless as far as diet or anything else…

Two words: Bikini Shopping Seriously, the skimpier the better (don't necessarily buy that one though..) and make sure your'e in the dressing room with the three way mirror. I could be described as an angsty teen I suppose. She needs to see that her body is changing and maybe doesn't look as good. If you've got a bit of…

BPC is rarely the organic fancy stuff that guy sells. Its just coffee with fat added, most of us aren't rich and don't feel like going broke.
-
How is the app? I've heard it's super good, but there's no way to preview it before I buy the tracker.

Im at 1392. I also low carb, and find myself usually around 1100-1200.

I agree with others, there's no specific way to get anyone to do anything they don't want to. You could offer to cook more, maybe treat her to a few breakfast in bed type things, or if you have kids get them involved int he cooking for mom idea.

I second the deviled eggs. You can even make them with a cake icing piping tip and they come out pretty, very get together presentable. Dusted with some paprika and with some tomato wedges and cucumber spears on a plate they'll be so pretty your friends won't even think about challenging them.

The CDC would kill them, it's their rule sadly.

Coolers aren't allowed in the barn, unfortunately. Does anyone know if burgers (sans bun) are ok? Or is there wierd stuff put in them?
-
I don't supplement-recommended daily values of stuff like potassium is just an average, and I seem to do fine without. But there are some good supplements out there to try, they're expensive though.

Costco sells almond flour in 48 oz bags.

Can confirm that butter mixed in perfectly and wanted to say that you are a genius. So perfect, I think you could do this in a hotel room with butter pats, half and half, and coconut oil if you packed it.
-
Depends on you. I like a half tbs of coconut oil, a tbs of unsalted butter, some hwc or half and half, flavored syrups or a spice or two. I also make it differently depending on the day of the week. "lighter" on Mondays and weds, denser on Tuesdays and denser still on Thursdays. Helps me get through those long college…

If you can't keep ANYTHING down, your body might need the calories in the sugar. That said, broth and unsweetened tea, try ginger tea, is good. Perhaps some mio fit for electrolytes.
-
^ that. The powders/shakes aren't gonna have all 23 amino acids like a good hunk of beef or pork or what have you will. Quinoa and meat are the only things that contain all of the amino acids. Quinoa=carbs and a bitter taste....soooo meat. ;)

You should be able to find more detailed info online. And alcohol is most of the way to bring usable energy, so the body burns it off more quickly. That's the way I understand it.

I think maltitol is one of the ones people tend to be sensitive to. Like all day in the bathroom sensitive.
-
Even for those of us who do the hard work of the older times it's not always possible to burn off all the carbs/calories. If it were the work alone, well then I've got the cure for obesity et al right here. Come help out. ;)

It happens occasionally. The first few times I drove myself nuts thinking I was either pregnant or crazy.

OP was not asking if fats were healthy. OP was asking about achieving ketosis. The body makes ketones when there is a lack of glucose and glycogen. These come from carbs-limiting carbs is the only MANDATORY thing to enter ketosis. It'd be nice if OP could eat a LCHFMP diet, but let them go one step at a time. They'll drop…
-
Also, OP, don't be afraid of protein. Yes glucogenesis is a thing, but it's not one of our bodies most efficient mechanisms. Most people find protein very satiating and naturally don't eat to much.
