Best personal blender for BPC?
I'm back after a looooong hiatus, had some health issues that kept me away. My issue now is that I can't eat a lot of solid foods, they sit in my stomach like rocks on bad days. I can have meat that's pureed/cut up very very small and chewed incredibly well on good days. So there are days when most of my calories need to…

"Disability" and keto/low carb buddies?
I've got a few different autoimmune and genetic issues. I'm curious if anyone else in the group has EDS, dysautonomia, or other conditions that cause the need for a wheelchair or make exercise impossible somedays. I'd like to be friends  Unfortunately it took my medical team a long time to find what was wrong, and…

Just found out I *also* have celiac. I'm so confused.
So I was going through my lab results (yay labcorp portal) to track my tsh levels(long story) and saw that I had tested positive for celiac antibodies (90% sensitivity and 98% specificity test) in 2014 and again in 2016! My doctor never told me, just suggested going gluten free, but without a reason (he said it wasn't…

Ambulating in a wheelchair; calories burned?
I've recently become wheelchair bound due to a connective tissue disorder combined with a hip subluxation and a knee injury. :s Hopefully I won't be in it for longer than a few months, but in that time I still want to lose weight/at least not gain. How should I adjust my caloric intake, while taking into account the…

timing of activities
If you time a step based activity does up give you credit for both the time and steps independently or does it know that it's connected? I timed a walk yesterday so I could up the intensity and have a record, but I wonder if that screws up the calories calculation.

Costco coconut oil
So I bought coconut oil at costco today. Turns out it's unrefined and very coconut-y. Is there any difference in using it? Will it behave differently in fatbombs or anything? Right now I'm doing my first oil-pulling with it and loving the taste.

Carb cycling? (long winded)
Hey guys! I've been mostly missing for awhile with finals and new baby goats arriving on the daily. Here's my latest quandary, carb cycling. I've become rather listless and tired lately(medical condition rearing it's ugly head because of allergies and weather) so I'm not up for cooking much right now and have found that…

Anyone else have the move and want to be friends? I'll add you!

OT: Exercise question
I've started some body weight workouts to tone up some muscles that show now, since they aren't covered in a layer of fat. It's been a day and a half since my last glutes/thighs workout and the soreness has arrived. Do I do the next workout in sequence(that'd be today sometime) despite soreness, or do I wait till I'm not…

Steps not syncing to UP app
I have an UP Move, its connected to the app, bluetooth is on, etc. I''ve resynced many times, and my food from mfp is moving over. But the steps will not show in either app. Any one else?

I need some girl help-fashion
I'm finally to the point of not wanting to hide my body in shapeless jeans and hoodies. But that's kinda all I've ever worn. I do have some cuter things, a couple tunics and a couple button down shirts, a few maxi skirts and 2 dresses. But could somebody please spell out for me what is in style/going to be in style this…

Vitafiber syrup/homemade quest bars
I've been wanting to get some vitafiber syrup and make my own questbars for those days when I just don't have time to pack lunch or need something I can eat in class. Buying the bars is out as they are so expensive($3 each) and amazon has the syrup. Has anyone done this? Do you use a mold or just pat them with your hands?…

Shannon gold butter?
I found shannon gold butter at grocery outlet last night and picked up a box(half a pound) for myself on a whim. It's absolutely delicious, so I'll probably keep buying it. I was wondering if it's knock off kerrygold? If so has anyone tried both? If kerrygold is even better than this I might put some energy into finding it…

LC Tiramisu
I was browsing pinterest, and this popped up https://fatmandoo.wordpress.com/2014/05/17/my-bulletproof-tiramisu-treat/ I haven't run the numbers on it, but oh my god it sounds delicious. I could see this being a good holiday treat. Maybe with some orange food coloring in the whipped cream and black in the cake for…

una-q roll(low carb sushi)?
There's a sushi restaurant near my university. They serve some called an una-q roll, which a reviewer on yelp says is low carb. I don't see any rice in it, but I also can't identify what there is in it. Anyone heard of this? I'd love it if there was a lunch/day date place right down the street with a low carb option…

Educate a newbie on bicycle shorts/proper attire?
I haven't ridden in awhile. So I got a Schwinn Mirada and some fenders and a seat pad to go with. I hopped on today and explored my university. About 3.5 miles over 30 minutes. I did this in regular exercise capris, and lady bits are not pleased with me. No wounds, but very tender. Is this a matter of not having been on a…

rant about nutrition info availability
My school has quite the decent cafeteria, sushi, sandwich station, pizza, and some less standard stuff like traditional chinese food and Indian foods. One giant problem: nutrition info isn't available on about 95% of it. What little is available is for things like fresh fruit, which you can't accurately measure by the…

Dynamic fruits and greens
Does anyone have experience with the dynamic fruits and greens powders? They have a whole bunch of good stuff in them, and my cardiologist wants me to use them. Any recommendations as far as flavors, or are they good in hot drinks or things other than water? I like mint things, but the idea of a mint cold drink that isn't…

On the hunt for LC microwavable lunch/dinner meals/ideas
I'm in the honors program at my university, and one of the biggest perks is that we have our own small building. Tables, couches, computers and A KITCHEN!  I have access to a hot plate, a fridge/freezer, microwave, and a bit of cupboard storage/locker area. The coffee pot looks like it hasn't been used in…

Broken thumb
How long would people here wait after a broken thumb had healed to start lifting? I was supposed to start SL in about a week, but I'll be halfway into a 4 week bracing/casting of my left thumb at that time. Should I wait an additional 2 weeks after that? 4? 6? I don't want to reinjure it, but my doc isn't much help because…

Dealing with a nutritionist
So my cardiologist really wants me to see a nutritionist(same office, very interconnected care) for my dysautonomia. This is a pro-lowcarb nutritionist, as that is what works for managing dysautonomia(cardiologist really pushes it). BUT I have been to see her once before, and she wanted to cut out pretty much everything…

Anyone have a cream of mushroom soup recipe? The campbells condensed is one of my favorites, but the carbs on it are insane! I'm really missing it recently for some reason.

Maintenance question?
Looking for opinions/strategies. I'm 3.3 pounds from maintenance as of today. When do I switch my calorie allotment to maintain current weight? The first time I see my gw or below on the scale, try to let it stick a few days, lose a couple pounds beyond that and then transition? Should I up my calories all at once, or…

Fenders&seat for a Schwinn Mirada
I recently bought a Schwinn Mirada 26" Women's bike. The most perplexing thing about this bike is that it came without fenders, and apparently Schwinn doesn't make fenders as add ons??? I'm not going to be a fair weather rider, I'm going to ride all winter no matter what the weather is. So I know I need fenders, leaning to…

New "verified foods"?
So I just went to put in the steak I had for lunch (a deliciously chewy top sirloin that was even more deliciously marked down) and saw the changes to the food database. The asterisk is gone(although if you click a food it still gives you that it's user submitted) and there are now "verified foods" that have a large green…

Inaccurate step counts?
I have an UP Move and love the thing to death. However, I had a bit of an issue with it yesterday. I was working with a large animal veterinarian so moved the move to it's clip and put that on my belt so it wouldn't get damaged being on my wrist. I average something like 13000 steps and have no issue hitting my goal most…

Mapmyfitness+Jawbone?
Does anyone use mapmyride or another version of mapmyfitness along with their up? I have both apps, and I'm considering connecting them so their data is sent as an aggregate to myfitnesspal. Mapmyride isn't in use yet, but will be shortly(Bike is sitting in it's box in front of me as I type  ) Has anyone noticed…
