  • 3 years; gone from ~25% bodyfat to ~12% at the same weight.
  • I don't socialise. Seriously though, depending how often it happens I usually just treat social situations as my cheat day and stay strict the rest of the time. If it happens too much and starts to affect my progress I might try to fit in some extra cardio during the week or go for the lower calorie options, but I try not…
  • Not trying to stir things up, but I'm not sure why people seem to get so up in arms about the bikini thing. Sure wear what you want and feel comfortable in, but isn't it just the same as asking for fashion advice? Certain body types can pull off certain looks better than others. I don't think I'd get offended if someone…
  • I think it's mostly about confidence. But being fit helps, skin tone makes a big difference too.
  • Yeah it kinda sucks. For me no one I know really appreciates how much effort goes into it and how much it means to me. Some members of my family are even concerned for my health thinking I'm doing too much, while they are all completely sedentary and overweight. I just do it for me, but my friends on here are a fantastic…
  • Lol, yeah I've done that one as well, flat on my back, ball went rolling away.
  • Oh man... Farts galore, getting stuck in the leg press machine after a failed set, getting trapped under the barbell after a failed bench and having to do the roll of shame, taking too many plates at once off one side of the barbell on the squat rack causing the other side to fall and drop plates loudly, spraying lucozade…
  • Feel free to add me; I've been doing it for nearly 3 years now and love talking about macros and exercsise and stuff. I see a lot of people calculating macros using percentages. I'm sure it works fine, but to me it seems inaccurate and always ends up with excessive amounts of protein. There a bunch of different ways to…
  • Oh I didn't know that; I've kept mine upright for years... Might need to invest in a new set.
  • Yep, it's pretty easy once you know how.
  • Dude...
  • -_- hmmm... *puts pitchfork down...

  • It doesn't work like that... OP; would you be wanting to compete? Or just look nice? Do you know about the different categories and stuff? Physique would be difficult to acquire naturally, but a bikini category body would be possible (with a lot of work). Your hubbies reaction could just because he has some misconceptions…
  • Purely visual for me, though I have an idea of what bodyfat % I need to be, and what weight I will reach it at, in order to look my best. I like to make the transition into bulking a very slow one; when I've just spent the last 3-4 months getting lean I don't want to cover it all up again straight away. Once I am at a…
  • I'd also recommend a full body weights routine. Deadlifts, squats and bench press will hit just about everything, including your core.
  • Can't really give you medical advice, but I felt like crap when I first started working out in the morning. After a few months I got used to it and now I'm ready to rock as soon as my alarm goes off.
  • Haha...
  • Nothing, except look into why it happened so I can avoid it next time.
  • I'm getting there. Not going to be wearing a bikini mind. I hate doing direct ab work, so I don't do any, except when my boxing coach makes me do situps/leg raises. But I'll have visible abs by june if all goes to plan. I enjoy deadlifts, squats and bench press, and accessories that go with them, running and boxing for…
  • Nothing much. I might put something off, like I won't have a pizza this weekend, or one of the buns that someone brought into work. But I know I'll have one at some point soon, so I don't see that as a big deal; it just means I'll enjoy it more when it comes around... Overall I enjoy the process, I'll moan about things,…
  • This isn't true btw. The calories are very low, so they are good snacks, but there is no such thing as a negative calorie food. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Negative-calorie_food
  • I like to save most of my calories for the evening so that I am able to eat lots at night. It suits me better; I'd rather be hungry at work when there is no food around than hungry at home where I'd be tempted to break my diet (and I like to have fewer big meals, rather than lots of smaller meals). You could hold some…
  • Edit: Hatebreed was already done; Hammerfall
  • I literally just posted this on my wall this morning: "I find that the perception of heaviness in music is only relative to the quiet parts; if you spent all day listening to Death and Obituary, then switching to Deicide doesn't have much of an impact. Which is why this morning I created a playlist for the gym that mainly…
  • Really cool that he's going to the gym with you; sounds like he is very understanding and supportive so you don't need to feel embarassed. My ex and I both weighed our food for years so it was just normal to us, but when I first started she thought I was mad/obsessed and it was total overkill, then she became as hooked as…
  • Edit: misread title... ignore me.
  • Sounds like you might be low on energy or not fully recovered. Are you getting enough sleep? Drinking enough water? How often are you working out? What does your routine look like? How many calories are you eating? Do you track macros?
  • Love it Metal music
  • Here's a couple of other ways to weigh peanut butter. Take whatever you are adding the peanut butter to e.g. a slice of toast on a plate. Put it on your scale and 'tare' it (set it to 0). Add your peanut butter; it will show the weight of the peanut butter you added. Alternatively: If you have a digital scale that can read…
