  • MM 100, Day 10: Re-Vibe = done. And I really needed this today. This workout was a relaxing yoga flow that transitions into deep, static stretches. It helps to ease tension and boost blood flow while increasing your range of motion. Namaste.
  • MM 100, Workout#8 - Fight Club = Done. It's a fun one! Have a great day.
  • You may not be able to tolerate oats. But ask yourself 2 main questions first: *how many calories are you actually eating (serving size)? (are you eating enough) *And did you check the label? For serving size, consider 1/2 to 3/4 cup. It's also delicious when adding fresh fruits or maybe yogurt as well. Many brands of…
  • MM 100, Workout #3 = done.
  • MM 100 Phase 1, Workout 1: Cardio Meltdown = complete. And scorched over 300 calories, in less than 30 minutes! Have a Happy Monday, friends.
  • Morning Meltdown Mash-up complete. Have a wonderful day!
  • Feel free to add me. Love the support available on MFP. You can do it!
  • Les Mills Pump Revolution, done.
  • Vegan keto may seem restrictive (to many people), but it's doable with a few modifications. Below is a listing of foods that may work well for you... Low carb veggies: dark leafy greens, mushrooms, cauliflower, broccoli, carrot, capsicum Nuts & seeds: macadamia nuts, walnuts, Brazil nuts, almonds, hazelnuts, peanuts,…
  • BodyPump class!
  • Lifting will help push past the plateau. Initially the scales will tip in the wrong direction, but its only temporary if you stick with it. Be sure she's eating enough calories too... sounds crazy, but you need more quality calories when lifting. Good luck!
  • I prefer to workout in the morning. It can definitely be a challenge to get up early, but I'm far more likely to stick with it vs. waiting until after I get home from work. Do what you need to do in order to make this time for yourself - even if it's early in the AM... know that you aren't alone. I'm right there along side…

  • I also got rid of mine not too long ago. So sad... we had a number of good years together.
  • I enjoy BodyPump classes. You'll slim down & tone all over if you keep at it. Good nutrition is extremely important as well... don't worry too much about the scale, you'll see inches lost and that's the overarching goal. Weight will decrease but as you build strength, remember that muscle weighs more than fat. Good Luck!
  • I also have BOD and like the variety for my at-home workouts.
  • I've been vegan for over 30 years. I tried going raw for a period of time, about 6-8 months. I enjoyed the health benefits but It is a full time commitment to the lifestyle. Personally, I missed 'cooked' foods. I am still vegan & will occasionally dabble in a raw lifestyle for a week at a time, but long-term it wasn't for…
  • If you have a gym membership, feel free to ask a trainer there for help. If you are using machines for the first time, having someone to help educate you so that you can use them safely is a must. They can also show you different exercises to target specific muscle groups. If you want to do strength training at home, using…
  • If you're continuing to feel this way then perhaps you should go get your blood work drawn up again? Generally fatigue can stem from a number of different factors - stress, lack of sleep, nutrition, vitamin deficiencies, etc. You should go again to rule out any serious health conditions/ factors. If you're generally…

  • My latest obsession....... BARBACOA CAULIFLOWER TACOS 1 head cauliflower (I prefer to "rice" mine, but just as tasty if you cut into small florets) 1 yellow onion, diced 1-2 tablespoons olive oil 1 can corn kernels, drained 1⁄3 cup vegetable broth Salt & pepper, to taste Sauce 1⁄3 cup apple cider vinegar 3 tablespoons…
  • I've been vegan for over 30 years. If you're new to it, it can be a little more difficult to make sure you're getting proper macros.... I hear people all the time talking about not getting enough protein. Generally whole grains, legumes, soy products (organic and non-GMO), and nuts and seeds are primary protein sources for…
  • Pesto Cauliflower & Potato Salad Serves: 3-4 1⁄2 pound cauliflower (about ½ small or ¼ medium cauliflower) 1 tablespoon olive oil 1⁄2 pound waxy yellow or white potatoes, unpeeled 1 cup fresh or frozen green peas 1⁄4 cup chopped toasted walnuts or toasted pine nuts Basil Pesto Dressing 11⁄2 cups lightly packed fresh basil…
  • I found it better (for me), to wait 90 minutes after eating before working out. It helps a lot & I have no problem with 'energy levels'. The best time for a recovery drink is within about 30 minutes of finishing your workout. Generally post workout nutrition is a 4:1 ratio of carbs to protein. There are several good…
  • A whey protein isolate may work - one without casein. There are a lot of people that can't ingest the casein without 'side effects'.
  • I too have low blood pressure/orthostatic hypotension. My MD suggested that I use the meds, but I've opted out. Instead, I believe that a healthy diet can go a long way in helping to prevent low blood pressure. Be sure you're getting enough potassium, Vitamin B12, and folate - stay hydrated. On days my bp is really low, I…
  • Some people have said that it helps to brush your teeth after dinner - with the aftertaste of the toothpaste in your mouth, you may be less likely to grab a late-night snack. Ultimately, I think it helps to keep your mind busy... developing healthier late night habits will prevent you from mindlessly munching. So find a…
  • I've been vegan for 30 years. There aren't tips/tricks... but it is important to get the proper nutrients daily. My diet is filled with a blend of fresh fruits and vegetables, high-fiber grains and legumes, and complex carbohydrates. Most weeks it's a mix of: rice, lentils, olives, eggplant, tomatoes, lemon, spinach,…

  • I've been vegan for 30 years & have no issues getting my protein or meeting caloric intake. Yes, a calorie is a calorie, when counting totals - BUT the quality of your caloric intake goes a long way. The fiber & nutrients from a plant-based diet will keep you feeling fuller, longer. Feel free to add me for support. Good…
  • Not as hard as you think... start with baby steps if you're concerned about the switch. Incorporate more veggies into one meal at a time. There are a number of different websites with easy-to-prepare recipes to help & you can sign up for emails too - forks over knives, vegetarian times, even food network is starting to…
  • There are a lot of really good programs for you to try... but if you liked T25, you might enjoy: Insanity, The Asylum. I like it better than Insanity. The workouts average about 40-45 minutes, but you'll feel like $1M at the end of 30 days. Good Luck!

  • The most important thing that I've learned when on a cruise is to stay hydrated. People often confuse thirst for hunger.. and with the large feasts served on a cruise line, it's really easy to get yourself off track. So drink plenty of water and, when possible, incorporate plenty of veggies into your meals. Otherwise,…
