  • I couldn't maintain more than 0.5lb/week (I'd get too hungry and overeat), but remember that you'll lose a bunch of water weight at the beginning.
  • Following up the previous comment--the people I know who find it really useful are people who really like watching TV/Netflix and only allow themselves to watch while they are on the treadmill. Everyone else says they will, then finds something else to do!
  • I'm not a doctor, and neither is anyone else in this thread--if you've got a GP and nutritionist keeping an eye on your health, no need to listen to unsolicited advice :)
  • Losing muscle mass is something to watch out for while you're losing weight, especially if you are losing quickly, or doing a lot of cardio. Make sure you're meeting your protein goals, and do some simple weightlifting.
