I'm too chicken to post pictures of myself (I'm still in a before state), but Faeriesue1 and Meganridenour, thanks so much for posting yours. You both look incredible and your before/after pics are really inspiring.

After 6 months, I just hit the 20lb weight loss milestone! My next mini goal is to make it to 25 in a month or two. I'm also looking forward to when 16,000 steps a day becomes too easy and I bump my minimum steps up another 500.

My grandfather swore that onions made him tired. We thought he was making it up, but now it looks like he wasn't.

Maybe you should try looking at some paleo AIP (autoimmune protocol) recipes. Those will be low carb, dairy free, nut free and tomato free. Are you allergic to coconut too? Here are some ideas: seared tuna with mango salsa (mango, avocado, red onion, cucumber, cilantro, garlic, salt, olive oil lime); roasted broccoli or…

I started in November and lost 10 lbs in the first month. It's taken me 5 months to lose the next 9.5 lbs. All of a sudden last week, people started asking me if I was working out or if I'd lost weight. Note: While I'm pleased about losing 19.5 lbs, I still have 40.5 lbs to go.

It's actually not that hard -- I get a 30 minute walk in before work for about 4000 steps; I park far away from my office and get away from my desk to talk to people in other departments rather than using phone or email -- that gets me about 2000 more steps. I go for a lunchtime walk for about 40 minutes so I usually have…

Hi - I'm 5' and started at 185 in November. I'm now 166. I think my goal is 125 but I may reevaluate once I'm closer. I also use a fitbit and up my steps when it gets too easy to make the minimum. I started at 10,000 steps and now I'm up to 15,500 each day.

That is awesome! I love reading about the health aspects of losing weight. Congrats and thanks for sharing.

Forget the scale. You look amazing and should be really proud of how you've transformed yourself!

Good luck! Have you ever joined a gym before? Oh, and congratulations on the past 12 weeks.

Bbilliethecat: great job getting back in your old clothes. I kept a few things for sentimental purposes. Hopefully in time I can emulate your success by getting into them. Tlcs68: thanks for the encouragement. It's motivating to read that you've been where I am and managed to get and keep the weight off.

This sounds delicious. Thanks for posting!

That's fantastic! I look forward to reading your next post with updates on your success. You can do it!

Haha! I'm glad I'm not the only one who was in denial about my clothes at a heavier weight. I started at 185 (wearing clothes I purchased at 165) so with a 17 lb weight loss, my legs stopped looking like stuff sausages in my pants.

I think it depends on how you prepare the cauli rice. The first time I ate it, I got the idea from a weird vegan site where you were supposed to put kung pao veggies on top of raw riced cauliflower. That was vile. But now when I make it, I throw in all kinds of seasonings. Sometimes I make a curried cauli rice with…

I like to fry a piece of thick cut bacon in a skillet. Once that's done, I remove it and cook 2-3 cups of greens in the bacon fat. Then I put the greens, bacon and a tablespoon of parmesan in a tortilla.

Good job! I wish I found 1200 to be a lot of food. I walk 15,000 steps each day (often more) and end up eating between 1200 and 1500 (usually around 1350) each day.

Haha! I love most of the things everyone hates -- cauliflower, sweet potatos, and kale. I hate chicken. With a passion. I really want to like it, but it is vile. I made big crockpot full of shredded buffalo chicken. I took a bite and even the hot sauce couldn't disguise the chicken taste. It all went into the trash. Blech!

Hi - I've had IC on and off for the past 15 years or so. I go years without flares and then go through a 6 month period of really having to watch what I eat. A year ago I had it so bad that the only thing I could eat without pain was potato chips. For me, food that will set it off are: tomato; coffee; anything carbonated;…

I can totally relate. I have a love/hate thing going with the success stories forum. I look to stories there for motivation, but get a little envious when I see someone has dropped 50 lbs in 4 months. I started in November 2015 at 185 lbs. I'm now at 167.5.

When it becomes easy to get my steps in, I up the minimum number by another 500 steps. My minimum is now 14,500 steps each day and will likely increase to 15,000 starting next week.

I like them. They are no replacement for pasta, but they are good in Asian dishes. You have to rinse them and then throw them into the dish you're making and cook for a while so they absorb the flavor of the sauce.
-
You can find them at Whole Foods, but they are cheaper ordered through Amazon.

I too gained weight from eating Paleo and developed kidney stones, so I stopped after a year. However, it did get me eating some dishes that I will continue to eat -- Cauliflower rice is amazing (you can google tons of recipes); sweet potato hashbrowns are good…

Thanks for posting. You look terrific!

This is my favorite: Heat up 2T of olive oil. Saute: 1 diced large onion; 1 diced leek; 1 cup chopped celery; and 1 head of cauliflower that you've cut into florets. After about 10 minutes, add 1/4 cup flour (i use rice flour since I can't eat gluten) and stir for 2 minutes. Then add 1 quart of chicken broth (you could use…
