Baking is a bad idea in my house anyway. So you have milk, do you have cocoa powder? Honey?

I know for me I need to have a list before I go into the store, otherwise I end up buying a bunch of stuff based on my cravings. Could you make something with ingredients you already have in the house? So no need to even go to the store?

*hugs* I also think that a therapist is a great idea. I found that methylcobalamin really helped with my anxiety, maybe talk to your doctor to see if it could help you? If you could start by changing one habit at a time, I think that would really help too. Maybe start by going for a walk with the puppy after work? Bring…

You could even put a bit of cocoa in it for the chocolate aspect

Can you make and eat a fruit smoothie? Frozen fruit, banana, and kale or something? Then eat it with a bit of honey on top and a spoon?

(sorry to hijack the thread, I figured it might be better to do that than to start a new one) @brenn24179 , were you able to get back on track after your cold?
-
Going through this right now. I've had bronchitis for the last 2 weeks, and it's turned into a cold. I was exercising with the bronchitis, but the cold has left me with no energy to do anything. Does anyone have low calorie meal suggestions? I've been making onion and garlic soup for lunch for the last couple days, and…

I absolutely agree! I was eating away my stress and fatigue also. And I'm starting to learn which foods cause 'binge' compulsions (Humpty Dumpty BBQ chips), while others leave me unaffected and I am able to eat them in moderation (Miss Vickies chips). Knowing this really helps me when it comes to making food choices - what…

For dry skin I put on olive oil, so my feet are usually pretty good in that area. I think I will ask my doc about it when she gets back. I was thinking maybe it might be like a pre-diabetic sign or something? Or related to too much of a certain nutrient or something?

I found that I was less hungry with less calories :)

I don't think it's just walking around because it doesn't go away until I go to the bathroom. I've tried many remedies, and that's the only thing that seems to work. It's the sides of my feet. Totally weird I know.

Yeah except the doctor covering my doctor mat leave is an idiot

On my heavy days I allow myself an extra 100-200 calories, and I up the amount of tea and water I drink

Wow, old song! Love it!

And are you able to switch it up to lose 2 lbs a week? Do you eat back your exercise calories?
-
What is your activity level set at?

Logging all my calories helps to keep me accountable. I have to remind my husband often that we just cannot have junk food in the house (and even then he brought home 3 bags of chips last night). Watching the 'Chew On This' TED talks together on Netflix really helped him to see my struggle, and made him want to eat a…

My thighs still rub, they're pretty big :(

@kab789 Good job exceeding your goal weight early!!
-
Have you started to lose weight yet? I'm 13 lbs down, and that's actually the first spot my fat disappeared from (well, that and my inner thighs). Kind of depressing for me, because I was hoping to lose it on my tummy, hips, or outer thighs!

I'm a stress eater. Things that help me: - coming on MFP and reading motivational threads like 'Things no one told you about losing weight' - putting on music really loud, and dancing in my living room (songs like Shake it Off by Taylor Swift) - if I think that something crunchy will really help, then I eat a low cal snack…
-
I'm finding it super helpful too, so I will also be joining in for March!

Have you talked to your doctor about getting your iron tested? Do you log all your calories? The beauty about counting calories is that you can follow whatever diet you want, as long as you stay within your calorie goals you *should* lose weight :)

I've only lost 13 out of 40 lbs, but I was shocked this morning when (after realizing I'd gained a pound), I looked in the mirror and the image I saw made me feel like I had gained 10. Thankfully it motivated me to drink a lot of tea and water, so I can now see me in the mirror at my current weight and see the changes, but…

I'm sure they will be fine. Both my kids stopped drinking milk at 1.5, and they are super smart. As long as they are eating a balanced diet (or in the case of the babies, breast milk or a balanced formula) they will be fine. I think this whole 'fats for brain development' push has gone a little overboard imho :)

Lol, I may carry it better, but definitely not gracefully, haha I'm as uncoordinated as they get! Being tall has disadvantages though, when I'm around my shorter friends I feel massive, like an elephant standing beside a person. I also find it hard to believe friends who say the are only 120 lbs, but have a BMI that is…

You're able to disagree, of course. You might find this video informative though: http://www.ted.com/talks/julian_treasure_how_to_speak_so_that_people_want_to_listen?language=en

It's actually a lot harder to do this since they changed their recipe. It just tastes gross now (thankfully, because I did this too!)

Working night shifts I would eat an entire large bag of Humpty Dumpty BBQ chips, plus 2 chocolate bars, and a package of Hot Tamales candies... 3x a week! Going back even further in history, I used to play WoW for HOURS at a time, and eat nachos with melted cheese, and a sour cream, salsa, cheese dip to go with it. Or when…

Sure I'll join in! It's bitterly cold here though (-37*C), so I've been running on the spot in m living room. Probably 2-3 more weeks before it's decent enough to even think about running outside :(
