@MissMay I'm so sorry to hear that. But I want you to know how much I valued you and your contributions and I wish you love and happiness. xo

@Walela617 I can relate in so many ways. I was thinking about you and am so happy you are back. I like that you are starting fresh on Earth Day. Yes, I have to take a news detox often. I get all caught up and feel hopeless. It's good to hear from you. Happy Easter!

@SurferGirl1982 I follow this thread often. It is incredibly hard to be sober. I can go a few days AF and then something happens, I get triggered and drink. I'm happy you are never giving up though. You are still fighting and setting goals. I also wanted to say that you did not overreact. Your feelings are real. You were…

@faurotann congrats on 10 pounds weight loss!! @SunnyDays930 Sorry you were sick. But you are on the right track overall- pretty steady.

I've fallen off. Darn! I had three days AF and 2 days A. And with the holiday weekend coming, I don't know if I have the fight in me to be AF. Hope you are all doing better than me.

This week, I snacked much less. I didn't have alcohol for 3 days and when I did I had no wine (vodka seltzer). I ate soups for lunch. And I…

@LowTechForever I'm happy you to see you. Have a great day!

@SunnyDays930 One of the sweetest, amazing shows I have seen is "Love on the Spectrum" on Netflix. It's so well done - about autistic people trying to find love. 3 AF 1 A But today I had two white claws. Not bad- but not AF. We went out to our usual place and it's a habit to order something.

Day 3 AF done. Tomorrow, we are going out. We shall see. I had a terrifying sleep last night; so much violence and fear in my dreams. I also couldn't sleep for three hours. I even meditated for 30 min. before bed, read a book and did yoga. I will need to do a digital detox; I am reading news articles that are terrifying…

Day 2 AF done! I was tempted and my hubby did have a few glasses. But I am starting to get a cold, so I just didn't feel like it.. On to day 3 tomorrow. Congrats on day 004 Carole! Let's just take it one minute at a time. That's what I'm doing. I just can't keep yo-yo-ing. It's all or nothing for me. Sleep well!

I will persevere but this body is definitely at a plateau. I am going to have no wine this week and no evening snack. Surely, I will lose a pound by next…

Good morning! Yesterday I had an AF day. I slept poorly - I get the "Sunday Scaries". Just can't sleep well on Sundays. Thank you Sunny Days and Carole for your kindness. We are in this together!

Thanks Carole! It is a terrifying "merry go round". I am in heaven when I take that first sip and then in hell when I cannot stop. I will never give up. Thanks for your support. I really appreciate reading your posts.

Hi friends, I drank a lot yesterday. I am so sad about it today. But I'll keep chugging along. (not literally) I have to take a break from alcohol. It is so harmful to my mental and physical wellbeing. Thanks for being there! Have a great day!

Sending you hugs Carole. It happens. We have great intentions and then something triggers us and we cave. But at least you keep on trying. Wishing you a happy, sober weekend!

We have a little more than 3 weeks left in this challenge. Let's give it our all!

@deepwoodslady This is a nightmare for you all. I'm so sorry you went through all that. I cannot imagine all the stress. I can't blame you for eating what was around. You did the best you could with all that stress and uncertainty. Sending you hugs. 💙

@Walela617 I will pray for your job security. It is so scary that you are all trying to make the world better with your research, and it is jeopardy. As you know, I'm in education. Our state funding is being gutted so extremely that it's going to cause great harm for the most innocent: the children. I'm worried about the…

Hi Carol, SunnyDays, and Lowtech, Wishing you the best on your health journey. I've been drinking but not tons. I can always tell how much I drink based on my sleeping heart rate. Two glasses of wine does not affect my sleep or heart rate, but 3-4 sure does. I am trying to keep it to two if possible. But of course, the…

That is a nightmare. I'm so sorry you are going through this. That is terrible!!!

Thanks! I also used to walk every day for about 30-40 min. ten years ago, and I was in my best shape. I think if I just continue this rain or shine, it will make a huge difference. I also read walking is so good because it pumps your lymphatic system and that can only be a good thing.

HW 206. lbs. in 2023- I try to remember how far I've come, even though I am at a plateau for a few months. 2/7 171.5 2/11 171.0 2/19 170.1 2/27 170.1 3/5 171.0 3/15 171.1 3/21 171.0 3/26 170.1 Oh my! So close to 169 lbs. which would make my day! Walking a ton these last few weeks, but drinking wine, too. That does not…

Yesterday, I walked over 5 miles. Although dogs are a lot of work, I love brief stints with a dog. I love walking him at night, seeing the…

Hi friends, Congrats Sunny Days on your 20 days! I imagine you are feeling amazing! You should be proud! Hi Carole, Congrats on 3 days! It all makes a difference! Regarding depression, if it's mild, you can take fish oil capsules. They are tasteless and in the vitamin aisle. I once attended a seminar on brain health, and…

Wishing you a successful knee surgery. I'm sorry you are going through this. xoxo

HW 206 lbs. Summer of 2023 Since last May 2024, I've lost 26 pounds. 2/7 171.5 2/11 171.0 2/19 170.1 2/27 170.1 3/5 171.0 3/15 171.1 Sometimes I fret about how little I've lost lately, and I then I remind myself that I've lost over 36 pounds in the last year. I can be very hard on myself. I am still at a plateau. I know I…

@deepwoodslady I am also affected by salty foods. I can have a normal meal out (which I perceive as light in salt) and then at night, I feel my fingers tingling which I know means I ate too much salt. I'm happy the astronauts got home safely◡̈
