Of course not! My ex boyfriend is your height at weighs 140. He can run a 14 minute 5k and do 50 pull ups in a row. My guess is that your family only thinks you are too skinny because they are overweight. Show them a BMI chart and offer to take them to the gym! Don't let people hate on your success

5 days is too short of a period to evaluate your results. Keep working and results will come

All of my marathons were run with 0 drop shoes but not Vibrams

+1 I am not for or against fasting (each individual will tolerate IF differently) however I agree that this 5:2 plan is clearly NOT a VLCD. Average caloric intake over time is what matters, not specific days. Most of the people calling IF a fad diet or VLCD have never tried or are uneducated about how it works. I have…

If they fit your macros, consume at will, if not don't. Either way don't use it as an excuse because it is not a good one.

Consult an actuarial table from a few life insurance companies.

If you are not hungry, skip dinner. If you are hungry eat it and don't worry about going over your calories target. You can make up for it tomorrow if you like. Your average consumption over time is of far more importance than any specific day. Don't worry!

For me "clean eating" means my hands are washed and my plates and silverware are clean before I eat.

I call BS. Either you are consuming much more than 1200 calories or you are dreaming about cycling 22 miles a day. Is it possible that you sleep in the car and dream about cycling while someone drives you to work each day? If not I suggest you look at this link:…

Don't make excuses, find solutions. If you know you are likely to eat out and consume a lot of calories together, fast beforehand so you have room in your calorie/macro goals. You can also just exercise more to compensate for your increased intake or consume fewer calories one day to make up for another. You don't need to…

I am not engaged. I just came here to say congratulations to you all! Have a happy and healthy marriage!

There is no need to be scared. Based on your history of using MFP to lose 70 pounds we know you can count calories. You have a proven ability to lose weight, so believe in yourself! Consume less than your TDEE until you reach goal and then eat at maintenance. Stop using one time events (weddings, etc) as motivation and…

1. Consume less that your TDEE until you reach your GW then eat at maintenance 2. It does not matter who is around you. You need to be self motivated and not make ANY excuses unless you want to continue yoyo dieting for the rest of your life.

Fat loss (total) will always be higher at the higher intensities. When you see studies claiming greater weight loss at lower (fat loss zone) intensities they are referring to fat loss as a percentage of weight loss. That being said, the purpose of exercise should be to being more fit and have fun! Weight loss may be a side…

Honestly WW is a scam that takes advantage of people who lack self motivation and a willingness to count calories. Their "point system" is a way to hook you so you can't leave/have to come back after regaining weight (which most do). Learn how to count calories with MFP for free. Consume less that your TDEE and lose…

While what you say if factually correct, I think it often is used as an excuse for people (most of whom are not "muscular athletes") to remain unhealthy. I agree that BMI is not perfect, but it is easier to calculate than better methods such as body fat %. For people like OP (who does not seem to fit the very tall or…

Please get professional help immediately! At 62 pounds your BMI is 11.3. You are at risk of death from organ failure. http://www.nhlbi.nih.gov/health/educational/lose_wt/BMI/bmicalc.htm

+ 1. I am about half your weight (126 pounds) and am losing .5 pounds a week while consuming 2250 calories. Nice work with all the exercise! I have no doubt the weight will come off quickly. While a smaller deficit will slow your weight loss, it will provide you with enough energy to keep exercising and help preserve more…

I am your height and 126 pounds. My TDEE is about 2500 and I am losing about .5 pounds a week at 2250 calories until I reach my goal weight. If you are not happy with your calorie goal, then exercise more!

As a beginner, the last thing you should be worrying about is increasing speed. Follow the program and gradually increase distance. Don't worry about being able to complete the entire 5k (running) right now. After you finish the program (repeating days as needed) you will be able to.

+1 Being average should perhaps be a milestone for some people but not an ultimate goal.
