There's a lot of woo in the article. The references are mainly to discussion pieces not peer reviewed research. The only research that is mentioned are 2 studies that support the standpoint of the article and considering the amount of research out there it makes me think they've only looked at things that support there…

Losing weight is about a calorie deficit. So as long as they are within your goals there is no major issues. However these sort of meals are normally high in sodium and preservatives. I use it a lot but I would seriously argue the it 'it tastes like cheese' argument. Though I've not eaten cheese in over 20 years so maybe it's just my memory. OP just experiment I use it a lot in gravy's and sauce's

Enter calories from raw as weights of foods can change depending how they're cooked so weighing when raw will be more accurate. Different preparations can change calories but that would be so negligible it's not worth worrying about.

Unless you have a medical condition don't worry about sugar especially from fruit where it comes wrapped in fibre and vitamins. I don't even bother tracking sugar

Why are you keeping your carbs that low? The amount of carbs have no bearing on weightloss.
