  • You should try PhD Nutrition Bars and flapjacks, v.low in carbs and about 25-30g protein for 200kcal. And yes, they taste rly good, especially the strawberry cheescake ones
  • Chicken, ratatouille and quinoa, have been having this lunch every weekday for months now. I also had a protein bar after my morning workout! :)
  • So brave and nice of you to reach out! Best of luck on your journey!
  • It depends on what you are cooking, but most food will last for 4 days in the fridge (much longer in refrigerator). I usually meal prep chicken &quinoa and eggs for breakfast. I think 4 days max is a good rule of thumb.
  • Great idea! I found it much easier to stick to my diet when meal prepping. I try to meal prep on Sundays and make enough food to last me until Thursday. I'll then cook my food on Fridays/Saturday/Sunday. I do find though that by the time I cook breakfasts (frittata) & lunch&snacks I get tired and don't have a lot of energy…
  • THIS! And being patient with it- progress with me is really slow. And as was already mentioned, going out and being social only slows down he process further.
  • Agreed. Although if you are full & you have a few more calories left maybe you want to use those to treat yourself - maybe have some dark chocolate? If you don't want to eat all of your food, don't. Save the calories for another day or treat yourself to a small desert.
  • I would agree with this. If this is something that happens everyday then it sounds pretty serious. I've had issues with binge eating - where I would binge once a week or every 10 days and I'm still struggling with that. In fact, I ended up binging just last night. What I found that really helped me though- and has allowed…

  • I often crave junk food/chocolates when on TOM because I'm either in pain and I want something to make me feel better about the whole situation or I'm tired. SoI'll usually have some chocolate (I try to only have a small portion) and some painkillers to help with the unease and go to bed early. Also I read somewhere that…
  • I have my coffee black & don't log it. Come on, loggin 1 calorie for coffee? That's just silly. And yes, a lot of times I'll use coffee to get me through a long day and help with hunger pains but it only keeps hunger at bay for a while until I can have actual food.
  • There is some great advice given here. But this quote is gold! I've gone through too many cycles of binge eating & restricting my calories afterwards, which then led to more binge eating. I would then feel terrible about the situation, give up on weight loss and binge some more. Binging will happen - maybe ask yourself…
  • Hey! I'm also a uni student and l know how difficult dieting can be. I found that I usually overeat when I'm tired/bored so I try to keep myself as busy as possible and out of the house. I usually study in the library, I pack all my foods for the day and I only eat those. It's hard keeping your calories in check when at…
  • Thanks guys for the help- much appreciated! I've prepared my meals for the day and I've packed some snacks to help keep me full like you suggested! I guess I should focus on having a good time and the networking aspect of it rather than the canapes moving around. thank you
  • Argh I had the same problem this weekend as well, if it happens that I can't get my mind off food then there's much I can do, I ate a bit more this weekend, logged everything and I'll try to exercise and keep to my calorie goals for the next week! If you feel hungry or ill it's ok to eat more than your goal calories per…
  • Argh I find weekends to be extremely difficult as well- I've ruined my diet and gone in binges so many times over weekends, I've lost count. Are u havung cheat meals in your diet? Maybe you can have your cheat meal on the weekend to help keep you on track? I also try to get more exercise in and this weekend I'm just aiming…
  • This is such great advice - a lot of times late night eating is just comfort/boredom eating!
  • Hey! So some great advice has been given here- I'd agree with eating high volume/low cals foods & try to spread your intake throughout the day. And yes to eggs - they are great at keeping hunger at bay. And yes to water & caffeine - they both really help with hunger. Personally, I find that I tend to overeat at night when…
  • Kent, feel free to add, it'd be great to have some help with dieting through the winter months
  • I can totally relate to what you are going through - Yesterday was the 100th time I started counting calories and trying to lose weight. It's so frustrating to have to start again and being unable to say you've met your ultimate goal weight. I don't think it's a matter of complaining- dieting & weightless is hard work.…
  • That seems like a very strict diet, Best of luck!
  • Hey Jessica, Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts with us. I know exactly how you feel - weightless is hard work and gaining the weight back on seems like the easiest thing in the world. I know how you feel - I'm doing the whole thing again after yet another period of gaining back lost weight. Don't know is this…
