  • I should have mentioned that I work for a company that specializes in sandwiches...So I like to stay away from sandwiches since that's all I see, smell and taste during my trips around. Thanks for great ideas, guys! I've never considered buying a thermos but that would be a great idea once it gets cold out!
  • Every week or so. I skip if I feel I've messed up. It's always a different weight in the morning than it is that afternoon at the doctors.
  • Not a recipe but an idea....If you have a World Market in your area they sell some amazing slow cooker/dutch oven boxed ingredients with the recipe on the back.
  • I suffer with severe IBS-D. I have sadly dealt with this for longer than I can honestly remember but it has gotten worse as I left teenage years and entered my 20s. Fun little tid bit, I've recently discovered that my IBS could be a side effect of endometriosis of the bowel. So depending on your age you may want to assess…
  • Hi! Funny, today is day ONE without coffee for me. I consume more caffine during the day than what is healthy. I blame my years working at Starbucks for turning me into a monster. I have cut back on the caffeine with water, though. I also have turned to green tea! ALSO, I have severe IBS-D. I hope the paleo diet works, you…
  • French press. I know you want programmable but seriously, this takes less them then having to set a timer every night. It's simple and it's what we use at home for myself and my SO. Takes less time and less clean up and creates an awesome cup of coffee every time. You can get cheap ones made of plastic or slightly more…
  • Sounds like a great idea! I've never been in any type of therapy for my ED and I have no one in my real-life who knows about it. :)
  • My sister and brother in law wake up around 5am to begin getting ready for work. My sister will often times wake up my nephew (17 months old) and take him for a walk before she gets him ready for preschool and she gets ready for work. He usually stays asleep but sometimes, if he fell asleep early, he wakes up and is in a…
  • A half cup of almond milk and a half cup of oats with flax seeds, left in the fridge over night! I add blueberries and honey. :)
  • A lot of people don't seem to realize that the way they calorie count/restrict is disordered!
  • I have a treadmill that folds up flat and can be put against a wall/closet. It will be coming in hand because the house we are purchasing is in the middle of NO WHERE and our gym is in the next town over! My sister has a portable elliptical!
  • This can be a difficult site to be a part of when you have an eating disorder. I have had people unfriend me because of my food log and message me about my eating disorder (rudely, if I might say). I've been on here since 2014 (the second time I joined) and it has been a help. I joined Weight Watchers for three months (it…
  • I was going to add some of yall but I can't figure out how to add people via Username. I've tried, it just doesn't like me enough! LifeInTheBikeLane <<< Vivofit user. :) Add me.
  • Hello! Sorry to see no one has responded to this yet! I have a big problem with severely restricting my calories and then purging (vomiting) the larger (dinner) meals that I do eat, so I can relate to you on the bulimia level. I have been dealing with this for about 5 years now but in the last year it has become more…
  • We only do turkey for thanksgiving and a 20lb prim rib for Christmas. I now have about 8lbs of prime rib in my fridge! When we have left over turkey I end up shredding as much as I can and freezing it in separate baggies. When I want to slow cook a soup I will use turkey instead of buying extra chicken. For the turkey I…
  • I'm lazy and realize I need to make breakfast when the 2 minute mark is hit between walking out the door and where I am right then. I love sugar free carnation instant breakfast. I put it in a plastic cup, nonfat milk, and a few squirts of liquid coffee. Sounds weird and isn't what most people would consider a good…
  • I actually started this a few months ago. My SO has a music gig almost every weekend and they are almost ALWAYS at venues that double as a bar. We usually have a really nearby hotel or something so drinking wasn't much of an issue. We also get discounted drinks at 98% of these places and a lot of times other bands enjoy…
  • http://everydayhalogen.com/ Start by utilizing Google to find recipes for what you use to cook with the most. I have a NuWave oven which looks similar to many of the Halogen ovens I found but doesn't uses a light to cook. I've actually never even seen a Halogen oven before this post.... Purchase a griddle! They are easy to…
  • Sometimes our friends may say hurtful things to us that they don't mean they way they sound. I know I'm guilty of having put my foot in my mouth many times! I'm sorry he said that to you but on the bright side it's been a good push to get you going! I was around 240lbs and a whole inch taller then you (and one year younger…
  • Congrats on quitting! I think I smoked for a week before I realized how terrible it made me feel! But, when people tell me how much they love to smoke, I enjoy telling them the same story... My father began having small strokes in his mid fifties that no one ever knew about. He continued smoking like a train and had…
  • Every few weeks we switch our fresh spinach out for fresh kale. I cook it IN everything! You can boil an entire thing of kale with some garlic and that tastes pretty good. I mix it in eggs a lot too!
  • When I started riding again a few years ago it led to some extreme female body part pain. When I got REALLY into riding I bought some padded bike shorts and that improved the issue a TON. If you go for a long period of time without riding (Even a few weeks) It will undoubtedly leave you tender down there. If I wear normal…
  • I prepare my SOs lunch and my own the night before work. I own a bento box for myself and use tubaware for his. He's a manly man (lol) and needs plenty of food to get through his 12 hour work day so I make sure there is enough of everything he likes to prevent him from going hungry or needing to drive to the gas station…
  • I drink my coffee black (Gotta love those underlying tones and flavors!) but my significant other needs his creamer. I used to bring him home some creamer that I would made at work. I would mix heavy whipping cream and sugar free vanilla (or whatever sugar free flavor he wanted at the time). When we are out of everything…
  • I haven't been posting any pictures of my bentos lately but I have had one every day for the last month+! These things are awesome... I have been attempting tamagoyaki so I have half of one of those today, brown rice with a light butter sauce and broccoli/cauliflower, grilled chicken with a bacon sauce, granola and fruit…
  • Our town has hobos. Sometimes these hobos like to party in our pool after hours when it's locked (since there's no apartments around it and no lights). We find them naked. They hobble away. Naked. And then the cops never find them. lol
  • In my area, too. We only call the non-emergency for things really small things. Last time we had a suspicious character sulking around our property we called the non-emergency number and they told us to call 911. I turn into a stalker when I see someone suspicious. I stalk the heck out of them until I figure out what they…
  • I put it on burgers and sandwiches or eat it sliced with a little bit of salt and lemon. Or cut it in half and put a raw egg in each half. That's a power breakfast!
  • I buy Soy protein powder and mix it with water. High protein, and the calories is just 180. My old protein mix would give me 25 grams protein at just 75 calories.
  • I literally drink protein shakes for breakfast. #lazy
