Thanks SamandaIndia. I looked at cashew nutrition info. One oz has 80 kcal with 4 gm carb and 1 gm fiber. So carb content is not too bad. But I will stop all nots and cheese period. Lets hope this works. Most people believe that calorie count is not important for LCHF diet. I stopped using mfp after a month or so. Do you…

The reason I asked, many experts (Abel James, Dave Asprey and others) promote grass fed meat and butter. Not sure if it really matters. But its good to know that your success was not influenced by that
-
do you prefer to buy grass fed meat?

Kurt in the last episode commeted that his total caloric intake was between 1100 and 1600 kcal. Thats too low considering he is a big guy

I am not very fond of pancakes. I can try lower Kcal diet. But I have been listening to scientific podcast on ketogenic diet. They all recommend, not eating less, as this may result in body going to starvation mode, and catabolism of muscles, eventually you gain weight than lose weight would like to hear from your personal…

Thanks for your input My T3 is ok. How do you shock your metabolism? I sleep avg 5 hrs during the weekday, this hasnt changed since I started LCHF diet in July. So based on your advice - I will start logging in my food in mfp again. Regarding calorie intake, shall I target 1000 kcal deficit diet? But then I am defeating…

Can anyone educate me on the scientific rationale for dumping Artificial sweeteners? I like tea, and take 2-3 cups of tea with Splenda everyday. Is it going to be detrimental to my weight loss? How?
-

I like whiskey. Having moved from Europe to US last year, I transitioned from scotch to bourbons. I like both. I take my whiskey with few ice cubes. In general 2-3 drinks of 1.5 ounce each. I also love beer. Belgium where I lived for 9 years had 400 plus varieties of beer, all great. In US, I like few like Yuengling, and…

Hi all, can you share what you go for as your fav low carb alcohol?
-
Is Splenda included in this? I only take Splenda with tea, no sugar at all in all my meals
-
Great idea. I go this to this nutritionist and she is so much anti- low carb, that sometimes I feel that I am educating her more on science than she is helping me. The old school thought is so much difficult to dismantle!

eggs are the most complete food you can get and has zero carbs. I start my day with two egg omelette breakfast every day

Yes makes sense. I plan to take a drink or two during weekends. If I see that it is stalling my weight loss, I will adapt my plan. I think, daily exercise is important to burn off the extra calories which you may be taking. Its a fine line been discipline and being so rigid that you stop enjoying your life. LCD has given…
