@Rachelmilloy Surprise! Running is a sneaky delight.

@sofchak You can do the no logging thing! You have been here long enough to know your foods and your body. I quit logging in June and my weight is staying within a pound of where I was then. @Gutcutter500 Good luck on the C25K. I know you can do it. You have snuck in a couple of runs here and there. You will be running…

Having not read most of this thread, I'll just jump right on in. CICO works! OP, are you nuts or just trying to get attention? CICO worked for me. I lost over 70#. If you need help, just ask. I will be happy to help you out. What's the deal with oatmeal? Eat it or don't.

@ryenday I hope you feel better!

I have my fitbit set at 15000. I average around 29-30000.

Yes, yes, a million times yes! Why bother with only cutting calories if you cannot enjoy a little something? I lost over 70# and have kept them off over two years. OK, I exercise a lot and run when the weather lets me. Still, CICO...

Thanks, hun

Dr, K sounds like a quack. Questionable credentials. Maybe you should get a 2nd opinion? Why are you on such a restrictive diet?

Yep, salad dressings are evil in disguise. Make your own or use just enough to get the lettuce wet. No cheese, no croutons, but ok to add turkey or other proteins. Cereal (carbs) can be treacherous. Be careful and watchful. I usually eat scrambled eggs for breakfast, toss in a bit of feta and a couple of handfuls of…

@lorrpb you have done this long enough to know the cues. Listen to them and you will be fine. If you need to log for a while, so be it. I have found that if I log every once in a while, I get a feel for anything new or different and can adjust accordingly. I hope the bug skips over you and yours.

@lisadicken805 quark is a subatomic particle, lol

MFP had a recipe a couple of years ago for sweet potato/egg/peppers burritos. YUM! They freeze well and warm up very well. Tasty and healthy. Pretty sure all you need to do is cook the potato with a little onion. Add in peppers (maybe some black beans?) then scramble the eggs in...wrap in a low carb tortilla et viola!…

@Gutcutter500 wtg! Maintenance can be tough, but doesn't have to be. Balance your eating and exercise. All will be well. Good luck!
-
@fidangul congrats on your steppage! Remember when you were losing? Try a bit of that again and all will be well. You can do it! Oh, and happy Auntie!

When I was losing and eating 1200 calories/day, yes, I watched what I ate very closely. I wanted the most nutrition per calorie while keeping the calorie count low. Once I settled into maintenance, I was able to cut loose more. I am a fan of neither kale nor donuts so let us not go there. Like @AnvilHead I exercise a lot,…

@kristen8000 You are within your range. Stop weighing in every day!!! Once a week is more than enough. Yes, we all have fluctuations in our weight. In maintenance it is time to settle down and let everything take it's course. Do your clothes still fit? Then you are OK. Winter can be a real bear. Cold and dark seem to be…

Ha. CICO worked for me. I lost over 70# without paying attention to micros/macros. BUT. I do think protein is great for building muscle and carbs are great for feeding the beast. That being said, I also believe a calorie is a calorie.

Nah, eat the beans - fiber! I love a tostada. While I was losing, I went out for a tostada, rice and beans (and counted chips and ate the salsa) every couple of weeks. Drink tea and maybe a lot of water cause of the sodium. Enjoy! P.S. I lost over 70# and have kept them off for over 2 years! Carnitas is another yummy food.…

@fidangul ss hun, hope you feel better soon! Nothing worse that food poisoning! Nice to have your mum nearby. Take care, mf.

I used to use the elliptical only for cardio. Now it is my back-up when I can't run due to weather or injury. I need a video or some really good music, tho, because it gets really boring!
-
@CoachJen71 You are doing all the right things. You know your triggers, just stay aware. @bringbackthejoy You will heal quickly; you are in great shape. I know your frustration. Maybe go back into weight loss mode during your recuperation?

The snow melted and I was able to get out for a run today. Kept it short = 4 miles. Don't want any injuries. Door is going to slam shut again tomorrow. Will try to get out before the really nasty stuff hits the fan. Tomorrow 28 F with 15-20 mph winds/gusts to 35. (Today was 57F with same winds) What a difference 30 degrees…
