Update: I'm down 9 pounds as of today. The program is working very well. I'm rarely hungry and I don't beat myself up for going over 500 on fasting days as long as I ate something that was good for me, fruits, veggies, protein, etc.

I also eat breakfast, lunch and dinner. I feel too hungry if I don't eat something for breakfast.

Staying at or close to the 500 calorie goal (sometimes I go over a little bit), feeling satisfied, eating enough protein and drinking a lot of fluids.

No question. I like to post meals that I think others would like. This one, from Wendy's, is a good example of a meal under 500 calories and it was delicious!

I had a Dunkin Donuts Veggie Egg White Flat bread sandwich with no cheese. If I had time, I would have made something similar at home.

I like to order shrimp with broccoli, steamed with a small side of garlic sauce. Then I can control how much sauce I use.

I use ground venison for tacos, meatloaf and meatballs and keep packet seasonings in my pantry year round. I'm not a huge fan of the steaks, but a lot of people buy bottled marinades and use them to add flavor.

Yes, I count on 'off' days. My range for those days is 1500-1600.

This is my first weekend on the program. I'm hoping to not go hog wild this weekend.

I made it through my first day with 1 calorie left. I felt a little hungry, but nothing crazy. Today, I've mapped out a 1500 calorie menu and so far so good.

Pretzels or a nuts. I like peanuts, cashews and pistachios. Pistachios are nice because it takes time to remove the shell and eat. It slows me down and keeps me from taking a handful of them and shoving them in my mouth.

I would go with regular cheese, the low fat doesn't seem to melt well, and load it with veggies: broccoli, mushrooms, peppers, etc.

I LOVE peanut butter! I have to try to forget that my husband buys the crazy huge jar at Sam's Club. Sometimes, it's really difficult.

Just ate, in the kitchen at work, 2 bites of a turkey sub and 1 bite of a donut, tossed the rest of it away. Yes, I know it's a waste, but it didn't taste good. If it doesn't taste good, I don't eat it. And there is chocolate cake with buttercream frosting in the fridge. Haven't touched it.
