That's a good point :) I don't want to overdo it I just want to make sure I don't gain anything... I'm off my feet for at least 2 weeks :( maybe some weight training will be enough!

Thanks for replies :) I gave an exercise bike at home but the operation was between my toes on the top of my foot so I'd have to put my foot through and just use my heel to peddle... I may try it out tomorrow morning and see how it feels! Otherwise cardio I can do whilst sitting is good, I will look at chair boxing :)

I'm from the UK too :) I managed to lose 22lb with mfp a few years ago but gained 29lb back! Got about 50lb to lose in total now! Feel free to add me :)

Week 2 - no change on last week so 3.8lb total loss. However, my work schedule has meant my calories have been way out, so I'm relieved to have maintained! Onwards and upwards! (Well downwards actually I suppose!) Well done everyone on a good second week :)

I'm going to have a challenging week as I have 2 days at work where I have to attend a lunch and I'm going out for an evening meal. Means missing 3 work outs and not much control over what my meals consist of :( I will have to be extra careful the rest of the week and try to squeeze in 3 extra work outs somewhere... :(

Hi all, I started last Sunday so this morning is my first week... I'm down 3.8lbs! Quite pleased to be more than 10% of my way to 30lb by Christmas :) Here's what I did this week: 5 x 45 min walk at lunchtime on work days 2 x 45 min swim 2 x 30 Day Shred 1 x 30 min cycling 2 x 2 hour walk at weekend Planning food and…

I weighed myself this morning and am 1lb down! 29lb to go :)

I would like to join too - 30lb by Christmas gives me 15 weeks! My plan is to stick to my calories as much as possible, walk 10000 steps every day and work out 5 times a week for minimum 30 mins - swimming twice, exercise bike once and dvd (30 Day Shred or similar) twice. Good luck everyone!

I attempted W6D3 at the weekend but my morton's neuroma flared up and I could barely walk. I just tried again today and it did not go very well... I dropped my phone (and broke it) and ended up stopping after 15 minutes as I developed a stitch and was angry about my phone :( Will have to try again on Thursday, hopefully…

I'm happy to report that I've just done W6D2 (10 min run, 3 min walk, 10 min run) and there was no wheezing :) I paid attention to my speed, kept slower throughout but managed to sprint the last 30 seconds as I had a bit of energy left, which felt better than gradually slowing the more tired I get. Thanks for the advice!

Hi Mike, Thanks for your reply, it makes a lot of sense. I don't have a heart rate monitor at the moment, I am planning on getting something but thought I would wait until I knew it was something I would be doing several times a week... my exercise bike reckons I reach around 130 bpm at my peak but I'm not sure how…
