Thank you - I will look into those!

Father to me: 'your body's looking great' or something similar (uncertain on exact wording as I've blocked it from my mind) Note to self: wear huge baggy sweater next christmas.

Awesome job! How tall are you if you don't mind me asking? I started around that weight also and am aiming for about 125.

I like this, beautiful toucan:) honestly I am not saying I am unhappy with anything in particular but it is the one part that I find the hardest to mentally adjust to and things do seem out of proportion, but maybe my mind needs to catch up. Also, I would agree with the older looking thing but of course being healthier is…

Congrats! I am the same height with same goal and am currently at 140 trying to get to the 135 mark as my next mini goal so this is really motivational! Good luck reaching your final goal weight:)

Inspiring for us 5'5'' peeps, hoping this can be revived!

Good job:)

For sure talk to a specialist but you can also try to increase fiber intake, increase plant sterols, and if you drink a lot of unfiltered coffee you could try cutting that out also as this may increase cholesterol (cafestol). Good luck:)

I've never been a fan of starbucks as it tastes bitter to me and needs a lot of cream and sugar to cover that up. I love Level Ground Trading - Peru medium coffee, whole bean is one of the only ones I like black. You can order big boxes online for cheaper if you drink a lot rather than small bags.

I agree with this. I just took pics after losing 20 pounds from 165 ->145, and I am 5'5'', and honestly I saw NO difference between my before/after pictures (neither did my spouse)... but my tape measure shows I am losing all over. Don't get discouraged because some people lose body fat more evenly distributed throughout…

I've never heard of 'shakshuka' but I make a similar type thing for breakfast in the cast iron, with the eggs in a roasted poblano and tomato sauce and then serve with home made corn tortillas, top with feta, avocado, and mexican hot sauce.

if you have a scale, you can weigh your pot of soup (whole thing) write down the weight, at the end subtract out the pot to get a total weight for the recipe eg. 1000g of soup... Then weigh how much soup you take - eg. 100g Then when you enter the recipe, enter it with the total weight in the title, and set it to one…

Air popped popcorn: melt butter add chilli flakes+garlic powder, pour over popcorn, add pink sea salt+powdered nutritional yeast.... super yummy.

I agree with this also... I am the same height as you and have a small-medium frame and this morning weighed in at 148... but I look about 20-30 pounds heavier than you. So even though I am 'healthy' by BMI, it doesn't really mean anything as my composition isn't where it should be:)

Hi! I am 5'5 and started at 165 (aiming for 130) and so far have lost ~ 15lbs, 9 of it just by logging my intake on MFP, feel free to add me for support:)

Honestly, I don't look good in glasses so ordering online is not an option. I actually ordered 10 'try on' pairs via Warby Parker, had them shipped to a PO Box across the border (I'm in Canada) and then drove there with my boyfriend, tried all of them on, and ALL of them looked terrible (even bf agreed), so I mailed them…

Thanks, good to know! My last frames are so old the metal finish is literally chipping off... def not an option... I think a decade is long enough fashion-wise also... lol

I find this thread really interesting to see how different everyone's grocery bills are! For just me and my partner (he eats a lot!) --in Vancouver, BC we spend a minimum of $1000, but closer to $1300 a month, buying almost all fresh foods (no pre-packaged type foods and very minimal meat/fish) for home cooking. This is…

I just ordered this scale - its getting delivered today so I can't say if I like it yet, but it was recommended to me by a few people and its pretty cheap/no frills which I like:) http://www.amazon.ca/EatSmart-Precision-Bathroom-3-5-Inch-Technology/dp/B001KXZ808 I should add you can order it in USA also, for less $

Nope, I love crisps and if I stop eating them completely I will for sure crack one day and eat half a bag.... I just weigh it, add it to MFP and decide: 1. is it worth it now that im looking at the nutrition info 2. will it put me over on calories.... if the answer is yes, and no, then I eat it without feeling guilty and i…

Good work!!:)

I love this recipe: http://cilantropist.blogspot.ca/2011/06/curried-green-lentil-soup.html and it is super fast and simple (use less oil though)... ... and like others said, if you like spices dahl soup is so good, healthy and easy, and cheap:)

we are both majorly into food and cooking too and I totally can relate to this!! Coming home from school to amazing food he spends loads of time making.... and there is no way he can cook another low cal version for me, esp since he has trouble keeping his weight up, he needs to eat high cal foods. I am slowly putting all…

I would base my decision on that persons credentials and personality/enthusiasm rather than their own personal struggles. Like other people said, that person may have a medical problem and a skinny dietitian or nutritionist may not be 'practicing what they preach' - a lot of my naturally thin friends eat the most junk and…
