@WeatherJane you are doing so well! I didn’t even realize until I read your post that we’ve reached the half way point. What a great idea to check in with progress so far and to set new goals for the last 2 months. Here’s mine: Since April 1- lost 6.7 lbs July 31 goal- lose 5 lbs (0.5 lbs per week) This is exactly what I…

That sounds absolutely dreamy!! I completely forgot about the cub side service in my community! My boys aren’t quite old enough to drive so I’ll have to go pick it up, but that’s something to look forward to in a couple years! 😀 thanks for the tip!!

Shnerb00 Friday PW : 135.6 CW: 135.3 SW 160.2 Good morning! Welcome all new members! Looking back, the week was okay but felt chaotic. With spring here and summer near, we have been spending more time at our cabin on the weekends which has been sooo amazing and refreshing but it leaves me little time on the weekends for…

Having this group has made the whole misery of Covid feel less isolating. We really are in this together. I’m so sorry for your daughter. I feel for kids that age. They have given up so much that really matters to them through all of this. Good luck on your reset but also, congratulations on being able to maintain during…

Shnerb00 Friday PW : 137.6 CW: 135.6 SW 160.2 After a few weird Friday weigh-ins, with last week being pretty and high the week before being pretty low, I’m feeling confident that this week is a good reflection of where I’m at... in the end the only thing that matters is that the overall trend is headed in the right…

My original goal back in December was to lose about 25 lbs. I calculated that if I lost 1 lb per week, I’d get there by May 29th. That seemed like a long time away and I’m not sure I really believed I’d get there. But, day by day, week by week, one pound at time, I am sooo close! 😁 Going into the long weekend and the…

Well not surprised that last weeks’ random loss evened itself out. So no loss this week but that makes sense and I’m still happy with the overall direction! Shnerb00 Friday PW : 136.2 CW: 137.6 SW 160.2 Sorry team! I knew that rogue low weight last week would bite me in the butt this week. You win some you lose some I guess.

Congratulations 🥳

@postpandemicmiddleage I agree there are some perks about working from home (I do weekly rotating shifts home/office) but being accessible 24/7 is tricky. I once found myself doing a video call sitting in my car while I took my son to his Dr appointment. It also makes it difficult to commit to a regular healthy eating…

Congratulations @izzyred9400! Inspiring example of what can happen when you stay the course and committed to the process. Well done! Can’t wait to hear about what maintenance is like for you. Curious... what to you plan to do differently now?

@lperkins5 wow. Congratulations to your son! What an accomplishment! That deserves a few more celebrations 🎉

Thank you 😊 !

Shnerb00 Friday PW : 138.8 CW: 136.2 SW 160.2 Well this was a confusing surprise. I am getting closer to my goal so this week I actually added an extra 100 calories per day to still stay in a calorie deficit but slow the weight loss down and begin to get a feel for what maintenance might be like. Because the scale can…

@rnc52012 sorry to hear you’ve had some tough days. Glad to see you back!!

Not sure how accurate this number is. I actually changed my MFP goals from losing 1.5lbs per week down to 1lbs per week as I am getting closer to my goal and want to start getting a feel for what maintenance might look like. So, I ate about 100 calories MORE per day 🤷♀️ A little confusing but I’ll take it and celebrate it…

I love podcasts and I love this question! I’m curious to know what others are listening to for inspiration. For overall well-being, I love Oprah and her Super Soul Sundays Specific for weight loss, I started listening to Half Size Me a few weeks ago and find it very helpful and informative. Wish I had been listening to…

My whys: Long term overall health. Feeling confident in my body and comfortable in my clothes. Being capable of running long distances and keeping up with my active family.

Wow! @frankwbrown big back-to-back losses. Way to go!

Welcome to the group!

That’s an impressive loss! Keep it up!

Such great progress @lperkins5 ! After a little plateau I changed things up a bit by swapping out one snack for a different snack (my pm protein bar for yogurt and chia). Doesn’t sound like much but it felt good knowing I was trying something new when I was feeling a bit stuck. Because you are still losing, there’s no need…

MVP is synced with my activity tracker so it tracks exercise but I don’t pay any attention to it. I exercise for my mental and physical Heath and well being but I do not include burned exercise calories in my weight loss goals for many of the same reasons already mentioned. I figure there are many times that I…

Good questions! Do you set an an ultimate goal? Yes. I need to know where I’m going so I can make a plan on how to get there! “Keep the end in mind”—Steven Covey. I once tried just focusing on shorter term goals and, for me, I didn’t get any sense of urgency to actually work at it. Do you break down your goal into…
