I love podcasts and I love this question! I’m curious to know what others are listening to for inspiration.
For overall well-being, I love Oprah and her Super Soul Sundays
Specific for weight loss, I started listening to Half Size Me a few weeks ago and find it very helpful and informative. Wish I had been listening to that one long ago.
Thanks for the suggestions; i do love Super Soul Sundays.
I have not heard of Half Size Me. I will try it on my walks.5 -
Okay all!
It's May 5th. Imma shoot to lose 20 lbs by June 6th. I say the 6th, because today's almost over. Let F'in Go!!!

This half my size podcast is fantastic! I've only listened to one, the latest, and it is really speaking to me. I'm going to check out her youtube vidoes as well.6

Wow, there is a lot of great activity on here and lots of posts to be inspired by.
It was a good week with a 2lb loss but I really need to get back into walking again. I stopped when we had constant rain but we are starting to have more days without it.
Best wishes and health to you all!!

I’ve started making little challenges for myself. They are anywhere from 3 days to a week but it’s nice because when I really want something I shouldn’t eat I remember the challenge and think “only a few more days... and then you can have one” But so far once the challenge is over I have lost interest (and weight) and don’t want it.
Good luck everyone!8 -
From the half size me website:
Discipline and consistency have only brought me good things.
Where your mind is, your body will follow—take in things that give you energy, power, and focus.
Keep my own scorecard: remember that we need to evaluate ourselves and not ask others if we are good enough, worthy, or right. We decide what makes us happy and what will leave us feeling successful. Looking to those outside of us will not help. They get to do them, and I do me.
Everyone has their own agenda, and I need to know what mine is, not theirs. I don’t need others to convince me that what I am doing is wrong and what they are proposing is right. If I am happy with my life and what I am doing, than I am the judge of what is right for me.

So, I cleaned out my pantry- now it is so neat and has no junk food or candy at all. If it's not in the house, I wont eat it, right?
I wish I could do this but with a husband and 3 kids it would never work. However, I've been pretty disciplined over the past 2 months and not eaten any of the junk that we have. The only thing I had was a little piece of my daughters birthday cake a couple weeks ago.

Shoot for stars and hit the moon typa thing!
20 pounds in one month, that's definitely a "shoot for the stars and hit the moon" kinda thing.
It reminds me of a few sayings I have posted on my fridge:A goal is not always meant to be reached;
it often serves simply as something to aim at.

Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars.

This week was a bust obviously. Didn't control portions, ate out a lot. Had way too many carbs and there you go. Starting yesterday I added powdered collagen supplement to my morning coffee for skin, nails and hopefully, belly bloat. I've just got to get back to the basics. I've been a bit depressed so I do know that I ate for comfort this week. Now that is is staying warmer I will try to move more. I am encouraged by the success stories on here so that gives me hope.

@RubyRed427 I heard that too! I was shocked. It doesn't sound like it's worth it (at our ages) to have a cheat day at all.4

Not sure how accurate this number is. I actually changed my MFP goals from losing 1.5lbs per week down to 1lbs per week as I am getting closer to my goal and want to start getting a feel for what maintenance might look like. So, I ate about 100 calories MORE per day 🤷♀️ A little confusing but I’ll take it and celebrate it in lieu of the many times there is a surprise number the other way. Lol.
Have a great Friday!

I think the collagen powder in my morning coffee is helping control my appetite. Yesterday I put half a scoop in my afternoon tea and it tasted dreadful though it improved when I added a drop of honey. The strong coffee and cream must disguise the taste somewhat.7
