Hey all! I forgot to post my results!! I'm all over the place when I weigh in...usually it's Tuesday and then I tried Thursday but forgot so back to Tuesday lol
4/1: 159
4/8: 159.8 (gotta love the results after Easter)
4/13: 158.6
April goal: 154 (gotta buckle down)
NSV: I bought a pair of pajama shorts in size medium because no large was available thinking I will eventually fit them...got home and they fit perfect! Things like that help in this turtle race called weight loss!!!
I hope everyone is off to a fabulous weekend!!!9 -

(This weight gain is a mystery to me. I was hospitalized Monday until yesterday, during which time my diet went from "no food or drink" Monday evening, to "clear liquid" Wednesday noon, to "full liquid" Thursday morning. I had negligible activity during this time, but still, I'm surprised that I would gain 4 pounds eating so little. I am back now, and hopefully my weight will get back on track soon.)
Hang in there Frank, you have come a long ways, which means you knows what it takes, you've been through the struggles before on your journey to a healthier life. Stabilize and set the course...All the best sir, we are here for you...6 -
April 16/21 Check In(a day late)
SW 162
GW 140
Last Weight 150.8
Today's Weight 155
Up a few pounds which I anticipated as I haven't been recording or exercising since last Friday pretty much.
Thanks for the input on trying different things with regards to my 'failure' on the portioning of sweets🙄
Sounds like a few of you have had quite the week! (My condolences @WeatherJane)
(Frank I hope you are feeling better)7 -

Just came across this saying, and it seems spot on -- regarding our need to stay committed to our purpose:

I took my 84 year old mother out for her birthday lunch yesterday. She was noticeably slimmer and I asked her about it. She said, " I eat what I want but I just started controlling my portion size." She has lost 20 lbs in a few months. She does walk but really, not a lot. So I am here to tell you that no matter what your age, you CAN lose weight if you just eat mindfully! I am very inspired by her and really going to focus on HOW much I eat and not so much on WHAT.11

Since, covid hit, i gained 35 lbs, and the wedding was postponed until August of this year. I need to get back to at least 250 before August so I can wear the dress I already paid for!11 -

I’m really pleased with this week’s progress as I was out of town for several days and was surrounded by a lot of temptation. I treated myself a couple of times but also upped my exercise a bit and didn’t go crazy. So happy to know I can do this!10 -
@julsmarshall Great loss!! Hope you had a great time.2

I am eating more mindfully, really focusing on portion control now that I've been inspired by my mom's weight loss. I had lunch out with my daughter yesterday and ate about half my food. Portions at restaurants are far too big anyway. I hope the scale moves in the right direction this week. Friday is my weigh day.9

@JenT304 I was inspired by your Mom's weight loss at such an age by simply watching portions. I have realized that it's not that hard to stay within your calorie allotment if we just stick to per portion information on foods!! If only some of those high calorie foods like sweets and chips didn't taste so darn good!!! And let's face it food manufacturers pull out all the stops to make those "🎆 🧨 fireworks" go off in our mouth/brain when we do have processed treats...I never binge on broccoli or carrots!!!
Anyway, glad you are feeling so positive👍😊7 -
