This week was a bust obviously. Didn't control portions, ate out a lot. Had way too many carbs and there you go. Starting yesterday I added powdered collagen supplement to my morning coffee for skin, nails and hopefully, belly bloat. I've just got to get back to the basics. I've been a bit depressed so I do know that I ate for comfort this week. Now that is is staying warmer I will try to move more. I am encouraged by the success stories on here so that gives me hope.
Hugs to you! I'm in the same boat right now. Today is May 1 and a new month to start fresh!7 -

Have you ever been in a slump, where you fall off the wagon and seems like it takes forever to get back on...I have...I've only lost 4 pounds in six weeks, even though i'm walking 25 miles a week, eating almost right...smile. While staying somewhat in my daily calorie zone, in reviewing my eating habits during this time, I noticed that my wine intake had increased and my vegetable and water intake decreased. I'm also beginning to think that I need to change the foods I'm eating every 4 or 5 weeks to restart my metabolism. I realize this is a journey and we will have ups and downs, it just seems this cycle is taking longer to regain restart.
Does anyone change their foods every so often, if so, does it help?

Such great progress @lperkins5 ! After a little plateau I changed things up a bit by swapping out one snack for a different snack (my pm protein bar for yogurt and chia). Doesn’t sound like much but it felt good knowing I was trying something new when I was feeling a bit stuck. Because you are still losing, there’s no need to make any radical changes to the foods you’re eating. What you’re doing is working! However, maybe swapping out just one food for something else might give you a mental break from the same old same old and maybe your body/metabolism will also feel a little re-energized. Absolutely no science behind this advice, just my thoughts. Lol.
Thanks @shnerb00, all great points...and your right, as long as i'm losing and not gaining, I will be ok...I actually got into a size 48 L suite today, which hasn't happen for a long, long time...and yes, it still looks good....smile. Enjoy the rest of weekend.6 -
@shannonkelly08 The struggle is REAL! BUT I have to say I do think the collagen powder is helping curb my appetite. The one I bought was 30.00 a can but I would pay 3x that much for something that actually works. I had a scoop of that in my coffee this morning.....I got up at 6 and was not all that hungry until around 10. Had a tiny slice of left over pizza. Had lunch with my hubby at one, very light and really and not thinking Im going to have much dinner. The one I bought is called Ancient Nutrition Multi Collagen Protein. I'm going to give a further review in a week or so. I hope it helps my weak fingernails as well.7

I bought some collagen powder from Walgreen's ; it has a raspberry/berry flavor- delicious. I put it in water with greens, cucumbers and a slim fast scoop and that does quell hunger. Yes, please update us in a week.5 -

I was listening to a few youtube about healthy eating. One simple tip was to clear out your pantry of anything that you love but is too tempting to have around. So, I cleaned out my pantry- now it is so neat and has no junk food or candy at all. If it's not in the house, I wont eat it, right?

I love podcasts and I love this question! I’m curious to know what others are listening to for inspiration.
For overall well-being, I love Oprah and her Super Soul Sundays
Specific for weight loss, I started listening to Half Size Me a few weeks ago and find it very helpful and informative. Wish I had been listening to that one long ago.
