Hi Michelle, my name is Larry, I'm an executive with a Professional NHL Hockey Club. In addition to my professional career, I’m an author, with most of my books being in crowds and human behavior. I’ve also written my memoir, Buck Seventy-Two, A Destiny of Will, and a book entitled Life Choices, the Path I Chose. Life Choices exams our decisions and use the acronym CHOICES as personal challenges. I'll be more than happy to send you or anyone in this group a complimentary digital copy. One reason that I’m in this group is to heed my own advice...
Thanks for the reveal and connecting on a personal level, much appreciated, we are in this together.

I’d be loving the playoffs more if the Maple Leafs weren’t beating the Canadiens, lol! But in all fairness the Leafs are a much better team and are hungry for the cup this year. Our Canadiens are completely looking outplayed!

I lived in Montreal in the 80s so was a big habs fan. Lived in toronto last 20 years so became a reluctant leafs fan at first, now an enthusiastic one. I'm watchin all the series though.3 -
Did a hill walk today instead of my usual flat one, yay me9

@frankwbrown you make me smile when I read your posts😃So positive and supportive! I bet you are an awesome Dad...maybe Grandpa too??
I was married, but no children.
I do have nine nieces and nephews and many great nieces and great nephews, and I like to think that they think I'm an awesome uncle and great uncle.

Made some good choices this week: worked out twice (weights and elliptical); cooked a delicious healthy meal twice, limited snacking because I ate it all already LOL, and limited the sweets at worked.10

check-in:
I have hovered in the low 250's for all of May. This past Monday, I finally broke through, to 249.9!
Now, I'm over 250 again, due to having a couple family gettogethers/meals during a nephew's visit. But, I have been swimming up a storm this past week (is that possible?). I swam 8 times in the past 6 days for a total distance of 12,200 yards (that's almost 7 miles!). And I'm back to eating more conservatively, so I'm expecting some happy results this Friday (knock on wood).
Monday is Memorial Day in the US, so if you plan on celebrating w/ a barbeque and goodies, try eating extra light this weekend in anticipation of that.7 -
Hi 🙋♀️. My name is Nina. I am 54 years old living in the southern eastern part of the USA. I have done 10 lb weight loss last year. But I gained everything back this year due to pandemic and my sedentary life style. So I am looking for the motivational support and plus some advices. I have a big goal to lose 56 lbs but that will take time. For right now I am looking to lose Atleast between 5/7 lbs every month.
So my starting weight is 185.6
My target goal is 178.6
Friends please help me with any ideas on how to proceed.

This week I hit a milestone! I have lost 30lbs since February. I am so grateful to be able to do everything I have done to get here. Now to keep on my path! We are heading into a four day weekend and this year I will not be indulging in all (only a few!) of the fun foods so that next year I can, in moderation. A few sacrifices this year for a lifetime of moderation.
Good luck everyone!12 -
My husband just got a wake up call concerning his weight at his colonoscopy this morning. The anesthesiologist took one look at him and said, I am guessing you have sleep apnea and I'll take a look while you are under." Well he snores like a grizzly bear so this does not surprise me. He absolutely needs to lose at least 50 lbs. So like it or not, he will be on a weight loss journey with me. I told him I'm not buying another fattening thing and I am not going to enable his poor diet choices. If he wants ice cream, he's going to have to go get that himself. Honestly though this will be better for ME as well. A lot of my poor choices stem from eating out with him. That has got to stop.9

Thanks, @lperkins5.
I'm on a natural high right now, finally seeing some good results. I feel energized and motivated to see how close I can come to my original goal set last July, which was to lose 100 pounds in one year. July 10th will be one year, and 230 would be 100 pounds down from my starting weight of 330. How close can I get?
Keep up the good work!

Congratulations on achieving that milestone. You've got the right idea: sacrifice now for your future reward, and once you get to your goal, adopt an attitude of a "lifetime of moderation".4 -

As the weather is getting better and Covid restrictions are lifting we are spending more time on the weekends at the cabin and the kids are getting busy with sports. All good...BUT... I need to find a new time and routine for meal planning, prepping and grocery shopping. My weekends are now full again so the week felt chaotic, which leads to bad eating... any suggestions? When do you typically meal plan, prep and grocery shop?7 -

Hi! I don't know where you are located, but where I am at in WA, I use the Fred Meyer app. I'm able to add groceries to my list throughout the week and then schedule a pick up time. I don't even have to go into the store!
The best part is I have a slew of teenage children and so I have them go pick it up & then they are in charge of putting it away too.
I highly recommend using whichever grocery store near you that has an online ordering & pick up. It's life changing!6 -

That sounds absolutely dreamy!! I completely forgot about the cub side service in my community! My boys aren’t quite old enough to drive so I’ll have to go pick it up, but that’s something to look forward to in a couple years! 😀 thanks for the tip!!7 -

Thanks!
I found some great Keto items at Costco the other day. There was Keto granola (delicious) which I add to my Greek yogurt. Keto crackers and of course my fav Keto salted caramel ice cream bars for 180 calories and so fulfilling. I saw many more Keto labeled items there.3 -

It will make the journey so much easier if he's on board too.
I heard or read recently that CEO or celebrities who dine out often, keep to their diet plan, because they don't view dining out as a time to indulge. They view it as a part of their business, so they keep to their diet nonetheless.
I always view dining out as a treat and a binge... sure let's order Texas Tonions or fries!7 -
