Actually, the bulk of peer-reviewed evidence on these subjects does not support anything you said, Big Lindsay. There are a lot of bestselling diet books currently on the market that say that stuff, mostly written by fringe doctors, but not much convincing in the way of actual science.

Totally normal. As far as the number on the scale is concerned, you need to look at the big picture over a longer period of time. Look for progress by taking photos, taking measurements, the fit of your clothing, etc.

I agree that you should definitely be eating more in total...up your protein, and why all the strange restrictions on foods? It's really not necessary to restrict to that degree in order to lose fat, and usually ends up being detrimental to both one's health and psychological well being.
