  • :/ Do you really think drinking less water is going to help anything? It would probably make it worse.
  • Probably burning yourself out. If you're not taking in the right amount of energy you're going to get sluggish and less willing to do things. Get a food scale, and eat back some of your exercise calories.
  • People are going to tell you to weigh and measure your food. Which you should if you want to be accurate. What do you think a waist trainer is going to do?
  • I'm 5ft 2in. 22yo and I lost 80lbs within two years. Started at 262. That's a lot on a short frame. No one said anything until I had lost 40. None of my family said anything until I lost 60. It never occurred to me that they might be jealous. I don't even understand how some people can think that just because they don't…
  • I'm 22. 5ft 2in. PCOS. Started at 262, am now at 180. Within two years. Didn't cut any foods out purposefully. It's not the easiest, but I managed to work around it. Being short, so heavy, and having PCOS. -le sighs- I do own a food scale and weigh most of my food and drinks. It isn't a waste of time, it doesn't even take…
  • There's a hormone released during pregnancy that relaxes the elasticity of your skin to accommodate for the extra fluid and the baby. It may never fully go away, but being young helps. Your skin might bounce back more quickly. Genetics is also a big factor.
  • If I had a nickle every time I've heard people say their thighs/calves/shoulders are too big... Have you measured your thighs? Most people that say these things have average measurements, they just think their body parts look bigger than they really are.
  • I'd say keep eating what you're eating and lifting heavy.
  • One of my daily medications is also a potassium sparing diuretic. Gives me dry mouth, but makes me pee a lot. Which is really what they are for.
  • I use the Slimfast Advanced with just fat free milk. I have a hard time getting protein in, but this stuff helps so much. Love it. Not concerned with sugar. It fits into my calories and gives me a huge protein boost.
  • This can't just be posture... Definitely something to see a doctor about. My first guess is baby, second guess intestinal bloating.
  • Take advantage of the recipe building feature here. Don't fear the homemade.
  • It is if it goes on continuously. If it's occasionally, okay. If you're shorter, you can get away with lower numbers. But you would have to be pretty inactive for such a low number to not have serious affects on you. You really shouldn't be telling people things like this if you can't expand upon it. Some people will take…
  • -shrugs- It's always in the paperwork when I went to see a new doctor or they needed to update their records. I don't think they really pay attention to it, it's just there.
  • Beats me. I don't think it's a big deal. I think it's a weird thing to comment on really, I'm skeptical about it. I'm just saying when I see a doctor for the first time the paperwork always asks for height, weight, age, etc.
  • When you fill out paperwork you have to give your weight. So, probably a new patient or updating their information.
  • What I meant by that is they have been breed to suit our needs. We have altered them in such a way that they can't survive on their own. Dairy and beef cows are what we have made them now. It sucks, I don't like it, and curb my use. I truly believe we can develop beyond the use for large scale farming, but we are a long…
  • If your MFP is set to lose at 1200 you are already in a deficit. If you add exercise you are just making it bigger. Unless your maintenance is 1200, which I highly doubt unless you are really short, you will lose weight. I would suggest you eat the 400 it gives you.
  • Which ever one works for you. For me it's soy milk. Cow's milk gives me digestive problems, and I'm allergic to almond. Haha, actually I had never had almond before I heard so much about it around here and decided to give a try. Lesson learned. It is kind of sad that they take calves from their mothers so we can use their…
  • Honestly, if I were you, I'd start using a goal of .5lbs per week. You're pretty small. Of course, if you aren't weighing your food, you're going to be way off. Accuracy matters when you get as light as you are.
  • I had this exact same reaction. I was in high school and I couldn't even be in the cafeteria for more than five minutes before getting sick. Had to force myself to eat anything at all. I wouldn't go through that again.
  • I don't think he means never cleaning. Like I make sausage and use the grease from it to cook my eggs in instead of using another pan and putting oil in it. It's just efficient. I clean the pan after I'm done cooking every morning. Most major chains, when selling certain sizes of meat, base this off of it's precooked…
  • While wasting food isn't good, don't feel guilted into eating more than you want/need. This can especially be hard on beginners to portion control. People of course fall into the "starving children in Africa" cycle. Eating it isn't going to do you any good. A lot of great suggestions on what to do with leftovers have been…
  • Of course people respond to different drugs differently. I've taken Wellbutrin and Effexor. With the Wellbutrin, I wasn't able to eat certain foods, basically anything with a creamy or chunky texture I couldn't get down. And with the Effexor I had to force myself to eat. Just being around food made me sick.
  • You only have 10lbs to lose and you're eating 1200 calories?
  • Diet can affect supply. I would first find out what your maintenance is, then go from there.
  • Bunk for the most part. If you want to exercise do it, if you don't, don't do it. Your deficit will determine your loss, as long as you are in a deficit you'll lose. Exercising of course might cause temporary water retention for muscle repair, but it's temporary. If you are up for it, I say do it. I wouldn't suggest…
  • She said a pregnancy craving she had 9 years ago. Meaning she had a craving for it while pregnant, ate a bunch of it all the time, and now can't stand to eat it. Happens a lot with pregnancies.
  • 5'2 22yo Start weight: 262 Current Weight: 186 Goal Weight: TBD Took me a year and a half to lose 75lbs, I don't really have a goal at the moment since I'm still quite a way from being in the "normal" weight range. I've been obese for a long time, but I've been overweight since I was 5. Was over 200lbs by the time I was…
