I think the point was it should be up for 10 minutes straight, not up and down, as continuously climbing up stairs is more effort.

The new variant is also known to have been found in Australia, Denmark and the Netherlands and it was first discovered in September, so unfortunately it's likely it's already in many countries. Edited for typo

This is a good reminder. It sounds like you will have a hectic and stressful time with all the cooking and I don't diminish that, but perhaps it will help to focus on the fact that it's a blessing to have time with family in the current circumstances. This year I too won't see anyone between now and January, no family nor…

This is possible indeed, if some of the exercise you do is generating steps it might be double counting.

This is simply not true. You can't generalise that "every single company" wants anything or "no one" had a harder time finding a job. Where I work, for example, it's almost impossible to get a job without several years of experience.

What?

Could you order some shoes online, if you think that's part of the problem? Lots of places allow free returns, so you could try them on and everything before committing. I can also highly recommend reusable, washable cloth masks: less waste for the environment but also, you don't need to carry so many. I bought a pack of 5…

The very simplest answer is est more calories: more volume (quantity) of food/drinks, eat more frequently, eat foods with higher calories like oils, cheese, nuts, etc. And/or decease the amount of exercise if you are doing a lot now. How many calories do you currently eat and what types of foods? How active are you?
-
For me, neither is filling.
-
For me, I don't look at any of that. My scale tells me if my weight is roughly stable, and then I go by how I feel in my day to day routines and when I work out, and how I look in the mirror (especially my face, I get breakouts if I eat too much sugar or dairy and it quickly shows when I am tired or overdoing it).
-
I echo all of the above. 1200 is the absolute minimum you should net and you have probably set a goal that is too aggressive for your current weight and activity level. Additionally, MFP is designed for you to eat your exercise calories on top of your base goal, so you should log any exercise you do do and eat at least a…

I thought the same, if so OP don't do that please!

That's actually pretty slow, isn't it? I thought average walking speed was around 3-4mph.

I just read that Scotland is going to start giving vaccines to priority groups from next week.
-
Original British or American version? In the American one, Jan and Michael's dinner party- so cringeworthy! In the British series, I think the in house training one, or maybe the one when Brent is made redundant.
-
Depends where you live, they're not open in every country.
-
Don't log your exercise? But I don't know why you would do that, the way MFP is set up with your activity levels, it is designed so that you aee supposed to eat back your exercise calories (at least some of them until you work out how accurate the estimates are).

Me too. In a way, it's actually quite good for me because I am forced to actually go outside and walk him properly 3x per day. I could imagine if we had a garden, first thing in the morning I might feel lazy or if it was cold outside, raining etc. I would just open the door and let him go. This way, I am forced to get some…

Over the summer you posted a couple of threads about massive bloating, belching stomach pain etc. did you see a doctor about those issues? Did they go away, or are they still contributing to your problem?
-
No need to apologise, but I really don't know what you mean. Can you explain?
-
What do you mean you "can't really look at how many calories I'm taking in"?
-
I've used a small quantity of oat milk and also rice milk without noticing any difference in the flavour.
-
I'm just going to repeat these questions, because I think they are still relevant points for you to consider OP.

I don't mean to start a big debate about the merits of masks again, I just found the shop assistant very rude.
-
Ok, less judgement please. No need jump to call me selfish and pretty terrible. Perhaps you missed the part where I said she wouldn't even look at my ID. Had she said she wanted to see my face in order to check the ID was mine and asked me to pull down my mask for a moment it might have been a different conversation, I can…

I had an interesting experience today. I was denied the possibility to make a purchase in a shop because I refused to take off my mask. I entered a shop to join my husband, who was in the process of purchasing a bottle of whisky. We are both 15 years over the legal drinking age. In this country, the use of masks in public…

I have to walk my dog in the morning before work, then I try to get out for a walk at lunch, and after work go with the dog again. Doing this, I usually manage at least 10,000 a day, split into 3 blocks of half an hour ish.
-
Exactly, and a lot of hamburger buns don't weigh very much, as explained.
-
I would say it also depends on the context. If I rarely eat at a restaurant or get take out, let's say once a month (which is pretty accurate right now), then the fact that the calories in that one restaurant meal might not be 100% correct is not the most relevant factor in why I'm not losing weight. If, however, I ate out…

This week hasn't been a good week for me, but I've done 11,900 steps Monday, then 14,000, 9,000 and today, 12,000. Tomorrow, I will try to get a run in.
