I’m 5”2 and also aiming for 1200 a day - I don’t loose unless I am rigid about not going under that goal. I find 1200 is fine, provided I am able to plan what I eat and cook myself. I have to rethink my meals, and start with a really big amount of veggies. I see that as a good thing and I never feel hungry. But 1200 feels…

Oats are a great healthy breakfast! I eat one packet of original Quaker’s oats every day. Made with water. It’s 100 cals and keeps me full till lunch. Oats are packed with solvable fiber, it’s really good for you. Eat the oats 😀…

Vegan shepherds pie. I make it with lentils. It’s easy, yummy, low fat, nutritious, easy to freeze.

Palm linguine. 60 calls for the whole can. I’m putting it in everything to make the meal more filling for the total calories.

I go to SoulCycle-I love it! I’ve thought about getting a Peltoton, but think I wouldn’t use it - I’m not sure I would be able to motivate myself.

I’m vegan. I love the vegan halo top flavors, especial the oatmeal one. It’s delicious. I’d say it is an iced desert rather than an ice cream but I enjoy eating it and it fits in my daily calories alliwance so no complaints here. Recently I found So Delicious’s new whips which are amazing. Really low on calories and taste…

Yeah, I found it depressing to when I looked a what a serving of carbs was and wondered how I wouldn’t be starving hungry lol the time! But that’s because my natural tendency is to eat carbs, and not much else! When you start your meals focused on veggies and then add protein and carbs to that it all works out. I find when…

Yes. It comes in a can, but were next to the dried pasta. I eat lots of canned hearts of palm but I’d never seen it cut into linguine before.

There are 60 calories in the whole can. To me they taste great! I eat them in the same way you might eat other veggie noodles.

I’m vegan and have been for a really long time, feel free to friend me 😀 I’m 5ft2,. I’ve lost 10ib since 1st Jan and am on my way to 115ib target. I weigh about 134ib today. Eat about 1200 Cala a day. My diary is open.

I just recently started drinking protein shakes. I wasn’t looking to up my protein but I was hungry in the afternoon and I found that a pea protein shake around 3.30 fills me up until dinner far more effectively tgsn other 100 cal snacks. You should aim to eat a balanced diet, but if you enjoy protein shakes and you want…

@Sam29a we have a lot in common. I’m 5’2 and happiest about 115Ib. I lost about 40Ib and maintained at 115Ib for 2 years. Then life got complicated, I stopped thinking about what I was eating starting grabbing a glass or two of wine every night, and gradually put on 20Ib. Now I’m back to healthy eating and determined to…

I love my SoulCycle (Spin) class. I could cycle on a bike at home- it would be a lot cheaper! - but there is something about being in a group working towards the same goal that makes you work harder. You look around and think “If you can do this, I can do this!”. I think finding a class you enjoy really matters, doing…

I used to travel every week with work. It’s hard to eat healthy on the road, especially if you don’t have access to a kitchen. If you have a kitchen or even a microwave in your room you can cook. If you have control over where you stay, pick a hotel with a kitchen. Lots of chains have them. If you have an option to cook or…

Eating more fiber has been shown by WHO to be an important part of healthy diet. I believe the research highlighted the importance of wholegrains. There isn’t a magic bullet for health. Eating a varied and balanced diet would be a good place to start. You might want to research BlueZones, a study that looked at the habits…

1. I started running because I wanted to prove to myself that I wasn’t a hopeless waste of space and I could achieve something. Running a 5k was something I felt I could achieve with nothing but determination, I didn’t care if I came last I just needed to finish. I did finish. I didn’t come last. I reminded myself I was…

I’m vegan, have been for 20 years. My diary is open, feel free to add me.

I personally find the amount of calories doesn’t have as much to do with how hungry I feel as what I am actually eating does. I can have oatmeal for breakfast and be full until lunch, or have double the calories in toast and be starving an hour later. In the same way I can have a 300 calorie soup for lunch and be happy…

I second the foam roller. I was dubious it would help me but a foam roller solved the pain in the back of my legs caused by running over night. Best $30 I ever spent!

Never! Volume eating is the only but thing that keeps me on track.

Hi. I’d love me to join the challenge! I’m a beginners runner, my August goal is 60 miles.

Thank you

I’d never heard of Parkrun before. I checked it out and it sounds great, but none in Miami where I live unfortunately. I run 3 or 4 times a week and go spinning once a week currently. I’ll try a speed session once a week. Do you know if there are apps for speed sessions? My C210K app is great but focuses on adding more…

People lie about all sorts of things, much worse lies than yours! So I really would worry about that. It’s your choice who you tell about you weight loss journey, and it’s fine if that means telling no one. In fact if this is a lifestyle change forever, and not a fad, then it might very well be something you just do with…

Deep breath. We all fall of the wagon. You can’t change that, but you’re totally in control of what happens next. I don’t know how much you lost in a year, but probably more than 10Ibs. A 10Ib gain is a set back, but it’ll be a bigger set back if you don’t take control now. If you have a therapist for your mental health…

Hi. I’m vegan an eat 1200 calories a day. Friend me my diary is open :-)

I love the dairy free oatmeal cookie flavor, 70 cals a serving. Yum!
-
Me. I’ve lost 10ib and have 10 to go 😀

Garden of Life plant protein is my favorite. 100 calories a serving and no added sugar. I think the best flavor is smooth chocolate.

I don’t have children, so really am not qualified to comment on how hard it must be to have two tiny people to care for. But I imagine it must be hard. Don’t be too tough on yourself, your family need you in good shape. Remember that weight loss is a journey and every time you make a better decision is a step on the road.…
