  • Oatmeal. 150 1 serving and By the time I put what I'd want in it, it's not worth it (nuts, dried cranberries, half banana, milk, chia seeds, etc) When I do eat it, I use almond milk (low cal) 1 serving of walnuts, truvia and cinnamon. Even then it adds up. So I hardly eat it.
  • What I've been doing is this: - prep the week's lunches Sunday, bring everything Monday and put them in the big fridge in the teacher lounge. Always 4 oz of meet with a salad or veggies (zucchini, cabbage, cauliflower, etc) - I always bring coffee and drink it through lunch - - the first few weeks I was always hungry, so I…
  • Everything, except for the tuna and eggs are full of carbs and full of sugar. Def. avoid those!! Maybe Greek yoghurt if it's plain, but even dairy has carbs.
  • I've finally found a great protein bar, 190 calories (or a little less, can remember) only 1 gram of sugar, and 22 gr of carb but 15 gr of it is fiber and 4 gr Erythritol, I was told not to count that. Very filling and tastes great. It's a Kirkland brand from Costco. 21 gr protein. Also there's a protein drink from Costco,…
  • I don't log anything that has no calories in it. ( diet soda, vinegar, herbs, etc) I don't log salt (not concerned with sodium intake) and instead sugar I use truvia but I don't log it. I used to not log ketchup but it can add up so I log that and other condiments. No water, since I know I wouldn't keep up with it For some…
  • Add me, too :)
  • Yes technically I could bring my lunch every day but what I was doing was to bring lunch for 5 days and put it in my fridge. I had a huge insulated bag, I would use that Mondays. I always prepped my food on Sundays for the workweek and prelogged them and they were just sitting in my fridge at home. This way I didn't have…
  • I've been weighing myself every day. It's only fluctuating 2 lbs, that's not even so bad.
  • Oh these sound great! I haven't even thought about cheese or hard boiled eggs duh lol. Or avocado yum.
  • I was shocked when I found out that vodka has calories. How can something that looks like water and doesn't even freeze have any calories? lol. I couldn't believe it. I do log alcohol, because it can add up more than food. I don't drink beer (can't stand it) and wine occasionally. I like mixed drinks, apple martini,…
  • It did happen to me as well. When I first started logging I lost 9 lbs the first 3 weeks and then nothing for the next 3 but I know I was losing inches. I had 2 pictures I took, one a month before starting and a month after, just my face but the difference was huge. Wish I could post it here
  • I can start getting in the scale daily. It might be interesting and very scary :) to see all the daily fluctuations
  • I'm 5'8" and right now 165 lbs. no I didn't update mfp from 160 lbs lol. I went from 184 at the end of November 2014 to 150 by middle of June 2015. My absolute lowest weight I could maintain would be 145 lb. that was my original goal but I was happy with 150. Maybe because of that I didn't lose more but I wasn't as strict…
  • I do weigh everything in gram as much as I can. Things like sour cream, butter for example will say table spoon, but since it says on the box how many gram are in a table spoon, I weigh those in grams. But when I log it, it probably shows up as table spoon but I am accurate Things like creamer I use measuring spoons…
  • So after 9 days I got on the scale and didn't lose not 1 lb!! :( it does feel like I did lose some, everything fits better but i exped 2-3 lbs to be gone. People always say that "oh you might just be losing inches" but with this kinda duet the scale is supposed to show loss, right? I'm also staying under my calorie goal of…
  • add me, too! Marianna@marianna.cc
  • I tried the heavy whipping cream, and I love the taste. So you guys are saying that I can deduct fiber grams from carbs? Because today I had around 50 grams of carb and 19 fiber so if I deduct then I ended up at 30 grams of carbs. Which is pretty good.
  • Today ended up pretty good. Way under my calories as I took a Zumba class (over 400 cal) and a long walk, almost an hour, 260 calories, which I think my Fitbit undercalculated somehow, because this would normally be closer to 400. Oh well. 114 grams of protein, only 18 gr of carbs, 6 of it is fiber, 12 gr. sugar and 121…
  • I haven't tried heavy whipping cream. Sounds delicious, I'll check it out :)
  • I'd love to learn how to make my own low carb salad dressings, and ketchup and barbeque sauce. I love barbeque sauce. Like I said before, I'm a teacher, so school start in 3 weeks (yikes, I thought we had almost a month left). I know once I'm working, I'll be on my feet, and just being mentally and emotionally "on" I burn…
  • Oh that sounds great !!! Then maybe I won't log them so it won't throw me off.
  • The carbs came from 3 packets of Truvia. Somehow that coffee gets so bitter (I use espresso) that I have to use Truvia. I first used 5 packets, but now that carbs count, I went down to 3. Maybe I can get used to 2, in time.
  • That makes a lot of sense. I am counting calories, because this way I know I there's no way I should gain weight, as long as I'm hitting my goal. Your progress is great!! congratulations! If I lost 4 bs, I'd be ecstatic.
  • Thank you so much! peanuts: I don't care so much for them, I could eat walnuts or pecans, but this is what I had at home. It's all gone now, so I'm not even sure if I'll buy any more nuts. If I do I'll probably make my own nut butter out of it. Bullet proof coffee: it calls for 1 tbs of coconut oil and 1 tbs of grassfed…
  • thank you, I'll check out your diary. Can you look at mine? Do you see anything that's so wrong?
  • thanks everyone. The thing is, I don't have any cravings. I don't crave carbs or sugar, like I said before I never cared for any of them. I could live without sweets for the rest of my life, I prefer sour lol. I haven't had any fruit either, I kinda miss that, but no big deal. I'm afraid not to count calories, because like…
  • And one more question: why am I so darn hungry? Ok, I'm a teacher and right now I'm not working, but I try to stay busy. I do some form of exercise every day (usually burn around 350-400 calories), and although the past few days have been very quiet and relaxing, I shouldn't be this hungry. I though high fat and protein…
  • I disabled the adjustment. The firs day I had it enabled, I ate about 1300 calories, my goal is 1300 and burned about 400 with exercise. Didn't even eat any of it back. Normally I'd feel like it's a victory and feel good about myself, but with the adjustments Fitbit and MFP was telling me that I was over my calories. WTH??…
  • Didn't read through all the posts, so I may be repeating things. I don't know if I call mine binge eating, but sometimes at night all willpower is gone and I want to eat. I find a way to explain why it's ok. Doesn't happen often, but very annoying because usually I'm pretty strict and can control myself. These are things…
  • Most of the main restaurants are actually in the database. PfCHeng, Denny's, Applebees, Chili's etc. You can choose from there. If it's not, then just estimate. for example you can look up tacos and see what would most likely match it. You might be way off, but just try your best. Either way, eating out will most of the…
