I don't weigh my food (just measure) but my daughter does, even the protein she puts into shakes. It actually seems cleaner (no measuring cups/spoons to wash) She is converting me! LOL!

I'm in, First time for me. I've been struggling, I hope some old fashioned accountability will help. Day/Weight/Comment 5/18 5/19 5/20 5/21 5/22 5/23 5/24 5/25 5/26 5/27

I'm no shrink, but I play one on the internet. Do you think it's possible he's not really comfortable with your efforts to become healthy and fit because he isn't? He might not be motivating you, unconsciously resents your effort?

Yes! I keep seeing spiced jelly beans (or as I like to call them, "crack nuggets") and it's really hard to not pick up a bag, for, you know... the kids.

You might try cutting your sugar in half, or mixing your sugar and artificial sweetener.

I'm in the 1300-1500 range right now trying to lose 1.5 lbs per week. Most days, I eat 1100-1200. (I ignore my earned exercise calories) I won't want more than that, I'll feel great being under, but I find if I go too low, too long, I become a big hunger monster! It becomes absolutely miserable for me to stay on track.…

If it's a histamine issue, you may need to take an antihistamine to break the cycle. Taking diphenhydramine (Benedryl) should take away the itch and start to fade the rash. It might make you sleepy, but it should give you relief.

I think you should move to what MFP suggests. I agree with everyone else that you are not eating enough. If you are able to, I would cut way back on the processed foods if you can. Even the low sodium ones have too much salt. I agree with the poster above that you might be carrying more water weight. Maybe you could try…

"Old time" Shamrock Shakes and Arctic Orange Shakes. I don't like how they "McCafe'd them!"

Agreed on the "lunk alarm" I never hear the weights drop, but the stupid alarm makes me jump! Not good when I'm on the elliptical! It's not the ideal gym (I miss "real" classes) but for the price, it's really good.

I have not tried this, but what about putting it in a smoothie? http://www.californiaavocado.com/blog/drink-avocados-4-breakfast-smoothie-recipes

I believe the statement should not be "simply cico" Yes, the concept is simple. The solution is simple. BUT the application is where it gets hard. It's no fun to eat at a deficit, I get that. I'm there right now! What makes it complicated is our brains. Yes, a morbidly obese person can lose weight just using a calorie…

I think 3 tbsp. is excessive. That's almost enough calories for a meal. If you want to use coconut oil, I would just use one serving. I use 1 tbsp. to pop corn with if I have enough calories at the end of the day. Not so much for weight loss, just because it tastes good so it satisfies my craving.

Hello! I'm in the same boat. I know EXACTLY what to do to get in shape and stay in shape, but I just don't do it. With the holidays approaching, I think support is essential!

I vote for Jack and Coke  but have you tried sparkling water with a fresh squeezed orange? I really like that and it's a change of pace.

I hear your frustration but this doesn't have to be an all or nothing thing. Eat what you want supplemented with something healthy, like have your steak with all it's fatty goodness with steamed veggies or a salad. Do not eat "lite" anything, but a little less of what tastes good to you. Maybe when you stop resenting the…

pick me! pick me! I'm always looking for new friends. :)

6.25 mile in under an hour is awesome! Don't lose sight of your victories because of small setbacks. ;)

Everyone once in awhile I would try the "newest" diet pill. I found that taking the pills would make me a bit "lazy" about sticking with my eating plan so it was a losing battle for me. Plus, anything "speedy" would make me more hungry, not less. What is working for me so far, is pairing myfitnesspal with fitbit. I like…

Today I'm going to cut down on carbs and increase protein and walk 12000 steps.
