Agree that it's really an unpredictable thing but I have lost 19 pounds since January 5th and 1 1/2 inches from my waist. I am an absolute pear shape so I've lost more inches on top that in the waist if that helps.

I use Nature's Best Unflavored Whey Isolate Protein and add my own flavors from fruit, greens, stevia, coconut oil, cocoa powder, chai seeds, etc. This protein dissolves very quickly and doesn't have that nasty protein powder taste.
