Thank you all. Yes, I should probably wait, and see in about a month if I should lower my goal. I still feel that my thighs could use a little work, but not sure if losing more weight would cure that. I walk/bounce a lot to get my steps in, in pool, trampoline, on beach this summer. No real strength training other than…

Thanks, it was an interesting read though.

OK, I admit, my logic is probably faulty. It's interesting though. If I continue losing at this rate, I will reach my goal weight in 3 months. That would be nice. Last time I lost weight unexpectedly like this, without diet change, is when I was pregnant with my second and didn't know it.

It's been 4 weeks since the dosage change. I do get up earlier now, so maybe I burn more, I don't know. It just seems that the weight has been sort of falling off of me since I reduced dosage. I do keep a spreadsheet of calories burned minus consumed, and according to it, I should still be losing 3/4 lbs a week. I'm not…

I think it's because there is not set goal for it. Where ever they fall should be fine.

Do you eat enough on days when you are not binging? What about the type of food you are eating? Are you eating the foods that you like?
-
I think your goal is a little aggressive. You have about nine weeks left to your goal, so you can probably lose about 9 to at most 18 pounds. Although, slow and steady wins the race in my opinion. So you should probably be aiming to lose 1/2 lbs a week though. As far as the amount of calories you are eating, I think the…

Thank you.

The recommended minimum for females is 1200. What calorie goal did MFP give you?

I'm 42 and I have been able to lose 31 lbs so far. It took over a year though. I found that I had to be really honest about what I ate and log it accurately. I also started walking a few months back and that helped.

If you go to apps, you should be able to add the fitbit in.

I think the bigger issue is your insomnia. Try to get that handled, even if you have to take some medicine temporarily. Go see your doctor.

I'm 5'7" and my frame is large. The weight range for large frame is 143 to 163 I believe. I'm going for 158. Once I get their I will see if I want to go for 150. I'm currently 178.6, started at 206.4.

What is your activity level set at in MFP?
-
Sometimes I don't eat breakfast until noon, but I do eat late at night. Some people practice intermittent fasting. Meal timing doesn't matter, do what's best for you.
-
That could be. When food is available to me, I have always just eaten it. But I'm trying to learn new habits and skills. Hopefully it will work. I'm still thinking on this how I can implement intuitive eating but still count calories.
-
I'm 5' 7" as well. I eat roughly around 2100 calories a day on average. My goal weight is 158. I have been losing around 3/4 pounds a week, but my rate of loss is set at 1/2. I think that's because of my activity level. I try to eat most of my exercise calories back. Maybe you could try eating your exercise calories back.…

Good idea.

That's the part I have to learn is to properly portion my food. I don't know if I have that down yet.
-
That's great. We started eating more vegetables now too.
-
Good for you. I would be the same way, if I had calories left I would just eat whether I was hungry or no.

Thanks. I was just thinking today, that after lunch if I ate nd apple and happen to feel full, what would I do with the apple. It would turn brown and unappetizing. I could put lemon on it, but then who wants to eat an apple so sour. I would have just had to waste it. Unthinkable.
-
That's for sure. I don't want to gain the weight back. That's why I'm doing this slowly. Slow and steady wins the race. The book talks about the French and their relationship to food. Very interesting.
-
Yes it does. I have a friend who if she eats a big lunch, won't have dinner then. I did that a couple of times during calorie counting when I ran out of calories for dinner.
-
I think it would be intuitive in my son's case because I surely didn't teach him to eat like he does. My other son on the other hand is like me and we have to teach him to eat slowly and what not, as I'm learning it myself.
-
Maybe that was just my perception watching my husband and son.
-
That's an idea. I don't know if I'm ready for it though. I will have to think about it. Thanks

Yes, maybe I should get rid of our big plates.
