That was mostly a joke - I apologize if it came off wrong. I have evaluated emotional reasons that might be triggering, I pass a PHQ-9 for depression and the GAD-7 for anxiety, and maybe it is just a comfort to me that once upon a time was less important than a self imposed goal/deadline (under 200 by 30). I even tried…

Late to the party, but I'm 33 and trying to get motivated again after an 80lb loss. I have 50lbs to go to my goal weight and always looking for new friends.

I actually used couch 2 5k with my dogs. It's how we found out our boxer mix would run for days, helped build up both of our stamina, and how we found out that our pitbull will hide if he hears "run". If you end up with a puppy down the road, I have heard that you shouldn't run them until they are a year old because it's…

I think I may have actually carved out on ab from laughing. *Runs to bathroom to check*

Realistic expectations, and reminding myself to trust the process when it feels like things are going wrong.

I wanted to amend my previous answer. In general, no small changes daily do not impact my view that much. However, last week my weights were between 187.8-188.9. This week, because of water retention and other issues related to my cycle, my weight has been between 190.4-190.9. This morning, the breakthrough back to 189.8…

How small of an increment does your scale weigh you in? 0.1lb Are you maintaining or attempting to change your weight? Losing, but I just spent 2 years either gaining for a pregnancy or maintaining for breastfeeding after 2 years of losing. Do you step on more than once to verify a weight? Only when I get a whoosh so big…

Get a scale, and weigh an appropriate serving. Don't feel guilty. Food is food. And restricting balls to the walls is a recipe for crashing and burning. I subscribe to the idea that it's not my families burden to bear that I needed to lose weight, and they should not have to alter their behaviors or patterns to make things…

Fair, they don't have to. Personally, when I eat something sodium laden like the teriyaki bowl mentioned, I find it best to drink water instead - I realize there isn't a ton of sodium in diet soda but there is a ton in Panda Express.
-
I can find something to fit my needs where ever. Chicken sandwiches and small fries are usually my go to in drive thrus. I also like Panda Express - a Panda bowl with steamed veggies and teriyaki chicken is tasty and filling right around 370. Just skip the diet soda and drink ALL THE WATER.

We used to have a "one bite bandit" at the office. She would take a bite of a communal treat and then put it back down on the tray. Got me out of the habit of eating communal snacks real quick. As the one who does the grocery shopping, OP, I just quit buying things I couldn't resist. I still buy my family foods they love,…

Ask your provider for a referral to a dietitian with specialty experience in pregnancy. In general, you've gotta play around a little bit to find out what works for you. Maybe protein doesn't really do it for you. Maybe bulk will keep you full - like fiber from big veggie salads. I'd definitely make sure you are hydrated.…

Yes to the above. Get yourself a food scale so you know for sure that is what you're eating.

I go back and forth. I don't NEED breakfast, but I like it sometimes. I'm also not crazy about it - and will often have my normal soy americano in the morning and chew gum/eat mints. I does help me restrict calories because I'm a volume eater. Not eating anything of real substance before 12 or 1230 allows me to eat a big…

I've been sampling this album that just came out this week, the new Blue October. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FwZvuV79jeY&list=PLJNbijG2M7OxRrvUHlMk3OKHUZlaqNYCo

That means that you have set your activity level incorrectly in MFP. MFP can only guess how many calories you burn based off of the information you give it. Fitbit regularly updates how many calories you have *actually* burned. If you're getting more exercise calories it is because you are moving more than you told MFP you…

When I build the recipe, I make the total servings the weight in grams. So, say a 1800g pot of soup would be saved as "soup, 1800 servings" and when I weigh my portion out and its 250g, I log 250 servings.

Lemon juice, or a home made pico de gallo.

Water. Black coffee or tea (meaning no cream no sugar). No calorie sodas.

If it worries you that much, pick the 1600 calorie one and move on with your day. If I can't find one that is spot on, or close, I pick one of the highest calorie counts in the database because I'd rather over shoot than under shoot. As you spend more time doing this, you'll feel more confidant in your estimates. You'll…

Cereal... Sigh. I never eat it any more. It's just not worth it. I don't understand how to not eat a mixing bowl full.

Enjoy your trip, whatever helps you do that. You're going most likely going to see an increase no matter what. Water weight from the travel. Water weight from increased foods. I continue to log so I keep an eye on it, and try to restrict to one meal out each day if we're staying with family or friends. But like amgreenwell…

Not likely in the maintaining weight forum, but there are plenty around :)

The trending apps smooth out your daily weights to give you a more specific idea of what your actual weight is with your daily fluctuations. I use Libra, but Happy Scale is another app people like.

Every morning, first thing after using the restroom, right before I step into the shower (so naked). Plotted into Libra. MFP updated every Saturday with weekly trend.

Go into the website desk top version. Create a negative calorie food and call it "work day". Make it -250 calories. Add it to your diary on days you work. It will deduct 250 from what you log. Then you can keep your activity level, and only add how much you eat on days you work. In 6 weeks, assess progress. Losing as…

50-75%, 70lbs lost, 40 to go.

I go back and forth - I like to eat popcorn at night because I can eat a bunch of it and satisfy that need to munch I get sometimes. I like hearty at lunch - I find that if it doesn't have a warm element I'm not satisfied, so often I will have coffee or tea with lunch. Similarly to DomesticKat, I'm at about 70lbs down and…

The only way to know is if you continue to stay that lower weight. Also possible, you appear to be a woman of child bearing age. Perhaps you're one of the ones who just get a whoosh at certain points in your cycle and then maintain through out the rest of the month. I know that I can see a big change over night about twice…

Sometimes it gets buggy. Wait it out, it's all you can do. Some people disconnect and reconnect, but that's a lot of work. I find that I know about what I have done based off of previous experience any more, and just make food decisions accordingly.
