You're almost there!! How are you doing Shaun?

I put a bit of butter or olive oil in a pan and Sautee pork chops for about 3 minutes on each side. Then add a can of cream of mushroom soup and half a cup of water, cover and let simmer for another 5 minutes or until the pork chops are cooked through. The soup helps keep it nice and moist, and I like to use it as a gravy…

We do tacos or breakfast for dinner a lot, I love that everyone can build their own dinner according to their preferences. We also do burgers a lot. I just throw a turkey burger on the grill for me with their beef burgers, and skip the bun and either do a cheeseburger salad or a lettuce wrap. Mushroom porkchops and rice…

YUM, now I wanna try that with banana I the chocolate peanut butter shake... Sounds like dessert to me!!

Good luck! Even just keeping food to meal times and cutting out snacking will likely help. You've got this!!

I know May is almost over, BUT! This month I've been focusing on tracking my food (even when I do off track) anddrinking 80 oz of water every day. I'm also practicing not drinking for 15 min before to 30 min after meals, and setting a 15 minute intervals timer to drink water. Trying to build up the skills I'll need…

Can you try chewing on some ice so you get the "chewing" motion that your brain is used to as a signal that you're eating? I'm pre-op, but I have the same issue currently with soup as a meal. I didn't chew anything, so even though I'm physically not hungry my brain is going "but you didn't EAT anything!" Sometimws I even…

Ketchup is gross. :(

If you go to Atkins.com they will send you a free quick start guide and carb counter, as well as some of their snacks. I don't personally like their snacks as they're full of sugar alcohols and other artificially created nonsense and I'd rather eat a handful of blueberries, but whatever floats your boat. :) They also have…

As a fellow PCOS sufferer, I will say what my GYN told me. This woman has her multiple degress in not only gynecology but also nutrition and specializes in weight loss and PCOS. She recommended a low carb diet and it helped me drop some weight and start ovulating so I could get pregnant, like, within 2 months of starting,…

Oh my god, ignore the trolls, Ms.BabyPhat. Clean eating is great, go for it! I agree with the people who advocate an "80/20" type of policy. I know I feel so much better when I eliminate the majority of sugars, highly processed foods, and artificial preservatives from my diet, but once in a while you just need a piece of…

Try some of the non-carby suggestions for boosting supply. Applying Young Living or DoTERRA fennel essential oil (using coconut oil as a carrier) and massaging into breasts (avoid the nipple area) and armpit areas worked well to help boost my supply (which was crappy to start with, thanks to my PCOS). Also try Mother's…

What I do is check out a menu online (if they have one) and log everything beforehand in MFP, so I KNOW I'm not going to go over any goals. Also, beware sauces - teriyaki is basically sugar, and eel sauce/unagi sauce has 10g carbs per Tbsp.

Go for the sashimi platter, all fish is going to be 0 carb as long as it's not breaded/rice/sauces. You could try shabu-shabu, a hot pot meal with meats and vegetables cooked in broth. I like to order tuna tataki (very rare tuna just lightly seared on the outsides). Miso soup can have up to 10g of carbs with tofu in it, so…

I have PCOS (and obese) and spent a year and a half trying to conceive, on various drugs (metformin, clomiphene/Clomid), etc etc. Finally I switched my OB/Gyn and the new one suggested a low-carb diet to help with weight loss, which in turn would help with my PCOS -- as many women with PCOS have issues with their insulin…

I can't believe how MEAN people in the main forums can be... Yikes.

Do you notice your issue with raw vs. cooked vegetables? My husband does fine with most cooked vegetables (except cauliflower, which apparently hates him) but his tummy just can't handle raw veggies other than lettuce.
-
I ask for half a scoop of dressing (amounts to approx. 2 Tablespoons) and that's generally about right for me. I also like to eat my salad as a salad, not salad-soup. *shudder*

Wear a heartrate monitor and log that way. :)

My work has Eurest cafe, and I've logged a few things using the Eurest entry in MFP, and also logged by eyeballing the ingredients (because really, I'm not going to pick apart my salad they made for me and weigh/measure everything...) and they seem to come out pretty close most of the time. Cool. :) But even the thrown…

^^ This, and I love you. :) (Man, people on these forums sure can be mean. It's even worse than the forums on mommy sites - something I didn't think was possible!!!)

We use different tupperware - the stuff in the colored tupperware is measured out, and the stuff in the clear tupperware is "fair game" as far as my husband is concerned. So I'll have 3 oz of smoked salmon in a pink container, and throw the rest in a clear one; measure 1/2 cup of a smashed cauliflower recipe into a blue…

She didn't say she didn't have time to work, but that she didn't have time to go to the gym. My gym is super close and I still end up spending 20 minutes driving (both ways) and another 5 or so in the locker room changing shoes. That's almost half an hour that could have been spent working out. OP was asking for…

Thanks for the feedback, y'all. :) And I have been gradually increasing, I'm not just jumping into this schedule I posted in my original post, haha. I started working on building some healthy exercise habits starting in January, starting with 1 water aerobics class per week and some 10-15 minute sessions on the…

Check out if your Y has any water aerobics class - those can be a fun low-impact way to shake up your exercise. :) I just started looking at this site and was hoping to build something from it - not sure how great it is, but it's a start. :) They also have some stuff on improving your technique.…
