My mantra last spring when I first started running was, "I'm coming for you, clavicles!" And I got them! Now my mantra is, "Die, belly fat, die!" :-) After 3 pregnancies and a c-section, it may never happen, but it's still a motivating goal.

At dinner with a friend, I clasped my hands on the table and jumped because I thought I was holding someone else's hand! WEIRD! I hadn't realized how bony my hands had become despite my rings all falling off my fingers. Selfies! I've always hid from the camera - ALWAYS. But I even took a shot of my tush post-workout and…

YES! I still think, "There's no way these are going to fit," even though I've already comfortably worn them several times.

Great job, everyone! Here's mine as of last night:

I found a full body shot of myself on my Google drive yesterday, so I had my husband take my picture last night so I could compare. I am still in awe. I can hardly believe that was actually me because in my mind, I think I always thought I was not that big. I now have over 380 days straight of logging on MFP and have some…

I found a very rare full body shot on my Google drive today and decided to make a comparison collage. I didn't start losing until July 2014. I can hardly believe I spent 20+ years so overweight and sedentary! My future is fit! 5'4" 41 years old SW 7/2014: 253 CW: 164

I've chosen to keep my fitness journey limited to my support groups on Facebook (I think I'm in at least 6 now!). Those are my peeps - they cheer my successes, they ooohhh and aaahhh over my transformation pics, they offer empathy when I slip up. As for the 800 or so "friends" on my personal FB page? I haven't even seen…

Went to the doctors today, and the nurse was blown away by my weight loss (she was seeing over 50 lbs from January, so I told her it was 82 since last summer). She seemed amazed that it was calories in, calories out. When I told her I'd recently started running, she said, "I tried that Couch to 5k app, but I didn't…

I've started doing this as well, but this morning it was super cold in our room so I put a pillow over my face while huddling under the blankets. DH had gone to the bathroom, and he told me when he came back that he thought I must have gotten out of bed because he didn't think I was there. As he said, "You've gotten so…

I've low carbed "successfully" 3 different times. It's not sustainable for me in the long run. I've lost 82 lbs by entering my food into MFP. I don't count anything because MFP does it for me. I just make more healthy choices than before and move my body more. I love losing weight without food restrictions.

Hey, did you know you could edit for up to one hour after you post? LOL I'd probably know that if I posted more :expressionless:

First off, congratulations! ! Second, thank you for sharing - these boards are a huge boost, even to those of us who mostly lurk. Third, you and I are on such similar paths! I'm 41, 5'4", started at 253, now 171, size 24 to 14. I got a treadmill in March then started walking outside. Suddenly decided to jog a smidge and…

I finished week 7, day 1 of Couch To 5k today - that means I ran non-stop for 25 minutes today. I kid you not, when I started this running app about 9 weeks ago, I thought I was going to DIE having to run 90 seconds then 3 minutes. I am incredibly proud of myself, and that's a feeling I'm not used to at all  But…

Congratulations! Very inspiring!

An elephant penis! Bwahahahaha!

I haven't seen this mentioned (and I've read the whole thread!), but as I no longer need to pull my shirts down when I stand because they no longer ride up above my hips and bunch up. I just stand and they naturally slide down where they belong :)

I just spent 45 minutes shoveling snow *without* taking a break, gasping for air, thinking I might die. I even shoveled far more than necessary down the ally just because I was enjoying it so much! All of that after my morning exercise even

It really does work! And the best thing to do after a day of eating over your goal is to start fresh the next day. Try not to beat yourself up - if it were easy to just eat super healthy low calorie foods all the time, none of us would need to be here, right?
