Been training - 1 to 2 x per week here lately, plus finally back in the gym after they shut it down for 3 more weeks.

Had a solid weekend of practice, both Sat and Sunday. Also going to try and add a Wednesday lunch workout in this week.

Fantastic! I've had to forgo gym workouts for a while due to our gym being renovated via the slowest workers ever. a "2 week" renovation is now on month 3... and since it's HOA, it's not like they are losing revenue. Anyway, I still am practicing and going to class regularly, just haven't been here much to talk about it!

I've been hitting it hard at the gym and practice, just been lazy to post about it here. Sunday Black belt class, I was able to record the first 25 moves of my new 5th degree form - it will be a long time before I will consider it "good" - it's the most complex form I've ever practiced by far, and I have to forget damn…

Saturday was testing for 4 of the group I train with.. Overall they did fantastic, and I really enjoyed watching all the progress they've made! Now that they are done with their testing, will be shifting gears in our Sunday classes, and will start focusing a bit more on my own training.

Taught private lesson on Saturday, then to the gym Saturday night (yay - back to the gym!) - and then Black belt class on Sunday. Overall, doing pretty well. Endurance is crap at the moment, and everything feels harder than it should... but I'm confident that will return with some work.

Saturday back to black belt class. Helping 3 students prepare for upcoming test - so did more watching than practicing. Did managed to get in some practice though - endurance will need some work to get back to normal, but overall not bad.

Nice! I'm finally finishing isolation - been extra careful to avoid getting the rest of the family sick, so have been stuck in 1 room of the house for almost 2 weeks now.. had a moderate but not horrible case. Looking forward to getting back to training!

Making this a general log rather than weekly for a while. My practices recently: Sunday: Black Belt Class Mon + Tuesday: Home practice, bodyweight exercises. Wednesday - Came down with COVID... ugh.

Ooouch on the streak - that's a big one! I know that you can petition to have it restored, but I've always used loss of streak as a reminder - that it takes effort sometimes to keep priorities.

That is so nice! We stopped a while ago in BB class - but we have verified 100% vaccination rate in that class. For a while, I was really torn between staying in the park or returning to the school, as in the park we could go maskless.

Came down with a cold on Monday - haven't been to gym, no practice... nothing. It's been pretty miserable so far - got tested, and no covid, so that's good! Hopefully start feeling better today and can get back to it!

Monday- - scheduling was a little wonky due to the holiday, but still hit the gym. Day 1 of a new routine, so pretty sore today, but still planning on getting some practice in.

Wednesday: Morning - 1 hr park practicing forms. Evening - Gym time.

Monday - gym time. Had a choir banquet for my kid to attend, so was a bit rushed, but still got in some good work.

Skipped Saturday at the park due to rain... boooo. Sunday: Black belt class

Wednesday: Gym time - short one, weights only, as I had a schedule conflict again, but managed to get in and get at least 1/2 hour in. Thursday: Morning park practice - lower forms + practice on my newest.

Monday: Finally got back to the gym - last week was a disaster scheduling-wise, so wasn't able to make it except once... Feeling it a bit thanks to the break, but happy to be back at it. One thing I'm noticing - my endurance is much higher when sparring now, and it's much easier to keep power levels where they should be in…

Saturday: Practice in the park before teaching... Sunday: Black belt class - we did a lot of sparring. Lots of fun!

Wednesday: Kicking and stretching day.. Had to skip the gym due to a schedule conflict, but it turns out that I really needed a good stretch session anyway - feeling great!

Monday: Gym day again.. I usually don't like doing gym 2 days in a row, but had to get the schedule back on track. Paying for it today.

Friday: Missed the gym - family stuff took over. Saturday: Practice in the park Sunday: Black belt class + gym time

Wednesday: More gym time - pushed pretty hard. Paying for it today, but .. needed to push through a little harder to progress. Thursday: Active recovery - stretching, slow kick technique work. Light forms practice

Monday: Gym time. Tuesday: 30 minute stretching. I need to do better warm ups.. I'm maintaining but not much gaining in flexibility regardless of how much I have been stretching.

I managed to recover enough by Saturday, so had a pretty good weekend of training. Park practice on Saturday, Black belt class on Sunday.
