  • Hack squats are good and so are Front and goblet squats depending on how much you need to lift and if you can get that weight into position
  • 3-4 days a week average but I walk at least 6 miles everyday according to my fitbit too so I always get some exercise in.
  • that was my thought. If I haven't had enough water my mouth gets all pasty feeling and tastes weird.
  • On Sunday morning I prep lunches for my husband and me for the whole week. Sometimes its just one huge meal portioned out like the teriyaki chicken with stir fry veggie this week and sometimes I might change it up and make two meals to portion out like like last week I made diet friendly butter chicken with cauliflower and…
  • when I am consistant with my lifting I also experience 'whooshing' weight loss. that is normal for me.
  • I have the same issue for squats. I have switched over to front squats. Its more natural for me and my form is waaaaay better. A little yoga worked well for me too. I also second the vinyasa yoga and hot if you can find it.
  • this is not a thing. The number of meals you eat in a day doesn't matter. its all about calories in and calories out. You might want to try a wider variety of foods like fruits and veggies so you are getting good nutrition in there as well. Try upping your calories every day until you are at a more acceptable amount. I…
  • I agree with this. I have plantar fascitis and it can really blow. I do the above minus the shots to keep it at bay but once in awhile it will get so bad that nothing helps but a whole week with my feet up and very minimal walking. It seems after that I can go with no pain for several months but then it starts creeping…
  • in the first few weeks I am able to get more weight on the bar pretty quickly as my body remembers how to lift and I get my form perfect again. Once I crossed that threshold though its REALLY slow going for me personally. Its different for everyone. I try to increase my weights every week. sometimes I can do a full 5 lbs,…
  • I found that I had to cut out snacks in general and stick to my three meals. I also like to have a big meal at the end of the day so my breakfasts and lunch tend to be quite small and then I can have the big filling meal I always crave. Finding some balance like this may help you. It certainly helps me!
  • Just get back on the horse and start fresh. I had my wisdom teeth out last year and lost weight the first couple weeks since eating was more of a pain in the butt than anything. I don't think having wisdom teeth out would cause enough water retention to cause an issue. did you eat more than normal? Maybe too much soft…
  • I am practicing to get off the toilet all by myself when i am 90 and to not die before that. does that count?
  • its all about how accurate and honest you are when logging. I have a fit bit that syncs and I will eat those calories only. Any other activity I don't log, like my weightlifting. I find its pretty accurate and I love eating my extra calories!!
  • I love my fitbit alta. It doesn't have a heart rate monitor but I didn't care about tracking that as it doesn't really affect calorie burn. My tracks mileage really accurately and I have noticed that the calorie burn is pretty darn close too as I eat pretty much all of my activity calories back and still consistently loose…
  • When you first start lifting, you will be amazed by what muscles you find hiding in there. If its a sharp pain though, you might want to check your form. Lifting should be challenging but not painful, besides a little soreness for a day or two when you are new to it.
  • We just have to keep trying. We will figure it out someday...right??
  • We can do this...again!!! LOL
  • as others have stated you don't have to be so aggressive with your goal timeline. I know its hard to have patience with weight loss but slow and steady wins the race. I am almost never hungry and I can still lose weight. Be kind and patient with your body and it will return the favor with slow, steady and maintainable…
  • oh my god that pupperz is soooooooooooo fricking cute. Looks like you might have a boxer or American bulldog mix!!!!!! Boxer are silly leggy weirdos that will jump straight into the air like a cat
  • I eat them too. Me and the Hubby make home made dinners but there are not usually left overs and I am too lazy to do other food prepping after my 10 and 12 hours days at work. They get the job done.
  • You should be able to go to a family planning clinic and they will help you out and you will pay almost nothing. that is what I had to do whilst uninsured
  • how dare you speak of dill that way!
  • You might also try different meds until you find that helps.
  • I too struggle with depression and anxiety. I found that lifting is like meditation for me. Going to that dirty little gym and putting weight on the bar is like going to my happy place. I don't think of anything but my form, my breathing and the smell of chalk and gross feet. No bad feelings or thoughts touch me when I am…
  • I don't eat fast food much anymore. Maybe once in the last year but we eat out at restaurants 2 or 3 times week. I always just try to keep it super light during the day to account for whatever delicious food I am going to eat!!! Then make a good guess on how much I ate and log it. Works perfect for me, slowly losing weight…
  • I love lifting so I always say "yes" to more lifting but really its up to you. Do more of what you enjoy the most!! After clearing it all with your Doc of course. I hope you get your hand all fixed up soon so you can do all the things!!!!!
