I haven't lost enough to notice yet for myself, but I do know some people who did change for the worse with weight loss. They started shaming anyone who wasn't in the same place they were with their weight loss journey or who had backslid a bit, when they know when they were heavier that would not have been helpful for…

I am a vegan and I have a lot of recipes stored up in my online bookmarks since I too work a lot and I'm too lazy to cook intricate meals all the time. Easy, cheap recipes are what I search for. More than happy to share! Here are some of my favorites: http://minimalistbaker.com/one-pot-vegan-pasta/…

I started at 277 and am now at 263. Feel free to add me, I love friends!

This! My husband is super skinny even though he eats junk all day...and he always wants to go out for ice cream after dinner. Q.Q

I do this as well. I'm not super hungry in the morning and I am always hungry before bed. I save around 200-300 calories for snacks in the evening and limit it to healthy (or almost healthy) snacks. Some toast, rice cakes, veggies, fruit, etc.

^^^^^^This. If you weigh enough times to see the massive fluctuations in two weeks time you're weighing too much. I do it once or twice a week and that's plenty. You'll see a more steady loss that way and not get discouraged by water weight, full stomach, or bloat. Better not to deceive yourself that you're gaining when…

Not necessarily, it depends on how much she weighed when she started and her lifestyle/job. I am pretty fat, but I also have a job that keeps me walking and on my feet all day so I have 1770 each day in order to lose two pounds per week. I have around 2000 to lose one or a half pound per week or maintain.

Are there more healthy choices than diet soda? Absolutely. But if you know yourself like I know myself then you know that cutting out every unhealthy choice that you enjoy might make you lose weight, but it's unlikely that you will stick with it the rest of your life and it's easier to fall off the wagon when you give…

I always love the argument how being on the internet gives one the right to do crappy things to people and we ought not ridicule them for it because it's the internet. I think we ought to definitely teach them that their actions have consequences, even here, because their actions certainly might have hurt someone in real…

I confess that I lost about twelve pounds here a few months ago and then started a new job, got busy and stressed, and gave up for a while. I'm back now and I confess that I gained seven pounds of the weight back and though that is disheartening, I'm super excited to be back and making a new commitment. I missed this…

Woo! Go us with our 400 pages. I confess that my feet hurt so bad and I was so tired when I got home from work and I still had like 700 calories left over...so I pulled out a bag of chips and counted out servings logging them as I ate and ended up with 300 calories under my goal. Not my proudest moment: "13, 14, 15...*logs…

Me too! I'm at the age where all my friends and relatives are having babies and I'm just like..."yay?" I don't mind that they're excited about it, but scrolling through the baby/baby-bump pictures day in and day out is a bit eye roll inducing. Plus then they keep wanting me to interact with their child and I'm like "I have…

MC Chris will always be special to me because my husband asked me to be his girlfriend (we had been on a few dates) at one of his concerts. During Nrrrd Grrrl of course. ^_^

I hear that on the big thighs. I have to wear pants two sizes too big for my waist to fit my thighs. People are always asking if I've lost more weight than I have simply because my pants gape at the waist and make me look like a weight loss add...nope, just thighs too big. XD
-
I confess that I changed my calorie goal a couple of days ago from losing 2lbs per week to losing 1lb per week and I feel so much better! Those extra like 400 calories to play around with make me feel full and I'm less likely to go over my goal. Plus most days I stay within my 2lb goal anyways, but now I never see red and…

I have a few friends trying this too. I keep rolling my eyes. I tell them the weight is going to run back onto you like a gazelle on the Serengeti the moment they stop that diet and it'll all be water weight anyhow, but have at it. XD Like, I might do that if I got too fat for a specific pair of pants that I needed to wear…

Double post monster!

Congratulations! I'm sure you'll nail it. =D

Yeah, I used to use chopsticks to slow myself down when I ate, but then I spent a year in China and ate with then all day every day and now I'm too good at using them for that to be effective anymore. I still love using them...maybe I'll switch to using my off hand.

My husband and I both do this. We try to get each other to stop, but we can't stop ourselves. XD Don't feel too bad, apparently about 10% of the population does it. It's called dermatophagia.

King of Tokyo is so fun! I like being the sea monster thing. =D Munchkin is fun too, but friendships get ruined over that game.

My husband eats ketchup on his bologna sandwiches, but not because of any sweet traditions like that. Makes me wanna gag. XD I confess that I have a terrible strange phobia of condiments...

I confess that I love Cary Elwes so much he even got me to watch Saw (and I am so squeamish with horror movies). <3

Just added you, I need to lose about 130 still myself. =D

My best friend is a 400 pound woman and she had no trouble getting pregnant, no gestational diabetes (though my teeny-tiny sister in law got that with her pregnancy), and no problems with delivery. It just depends...I wouldn't say you're hopeless, but I'm sure it's still a risk factor, just like any other.

Learning Mandarin is awesome and fun! Just always remember "Learning Mandarin is a five year lesson in humility." I've been studying for about five years now and...it's a very true sentiment. Five years in French and I was reading novels and writing huge papers...in Chinese I can read children's stories on a good day. -_-

I was half in love with him too...even after I knew everything he did. I blame Evan Peters incredible adorableness. *sigh*

I'm from St. Petersburg, born and raised, but I just moved to Indiana. It made me sad...I'd love to add some other Floridians to remind me how I should move back. XD

I feel much the same...Part of the reason I got in the frame of mind to lose weight was that after spending a year in China around some of the smallest people ever in my little city and being "The Great White Whale" over there I got really self conscious about it. Chinese culture dictates that it is not rude to walk up to…
