I'm also having a busy week which is why I haven't posted yet, at least I'm not the only one! I'm enjoying the nutrition challenge this week, I LOVE tomatoes! The first roadblock is kind of bumming me out, I think I've only lost 2 lbs this challenge. But I have had a lot of fun during it!

This past Christmas I had to buy some Herbes de Provence for a Christmas gift, I'd never heard of it but it is amazing! My jar is a blend of oregano, marjoram, rosemary, thyme, anise and lavender. We had it this week on pork chops with some ground mustard mixed in, delicious! I also rub it on chicken for roasting or mixed…

I am really glad this week is about relaxation! I am having a crazy week (what else is new haha!) it's good to have a reminder to slow down and take time for myself for a few minutes.

Thanks Countrcowgirl! I'm Laura from Toronto, ON, Canada (I'm originally from Buffalo, NY, USA). Currently a stay at home mom to a 4 yo and 6 yo. About 10 years ago I lost 50 lbs (196-145) and have mostly kept it off (even briefly getting down to 135 after my youngest was born). But I've bounced between 140-150 for a while…

Yep! I guess we could say we are team 7/9. Countrcowgirl has started a new combined team thread for everyone to post in.
-
You beat me to it @Nikion901! Yes Teams 7 and 9 are being combined into one team. This will definitely benefit us because some of the teams have a lot more people than we do. So more people to spread the miles around! So starting this week team 9 will post their numbers on the TEAM 7 SPREADSHEET. The team leader for team 7…

Team 9 update - Just heard from Mindse and she's been away but does want to stay in. There are two who haven't posted or responded to messages: Sukkara and Lmdsmiles.

Hope you all are having a great weekend! Please remember to update the spreadsheet by Sunday night. I think we can make it to the miles this week (which means our challenges are worth more points!) Reminder: The teams will be reorganized after this week. If you don't post anything in the spreadsheet you'll be eliminated.…

Great job @Nikion901! Keep up the good work!

At my heaviest I was just under 200lbs, 50 lbs more than I am right now. My lowest weight was around 135 I felt great there but I've also never been lower than that so I don't know how that would feel/look. I agree it is so easy for fitness to take a backseat but it is always worth the effort! I have had times where I've…

Awesome job @vazquezmom7! I've been trying to get the extra miles in and it is wearing me out! I was exhausted yesterday (doesn't help that I've been fighting a cold this week)! How did everyone do on their weigh-ins? I only lost .2 lbs this week which is disappointing. But it puts me below 150 which is a huge mental…

Just heard from one of members I'd thought we lost. So Team 9 is up to 10 members (although we might lose after 1 or 2 more this week) Angelious Issy62087 Jenniferstavich Lang111 Laurab384 Lmdsmiles Mindse Nikion901 Sukkara Vazquezmom7

Great job @vazquezmom7!!!

Good morning Dream Achievers! I'm going to try to get some extra miles in today in spite of the SNOW we're dealing with around here!!! :'( It feels like spring will never come! :s

@vazquezmom7 sounds like a good plan! I'll add your miles to the spreadsheet :)

Welcome to week 5 Dream Achievers! Our total "miles" for the week is 1898. Currently we are down to 9 members on our team so we each need to do at least 211 minutes this week. We can do this!!!! We went way over that last week (currently at 2738 for week 4). Remember we get extra points for going over so let's keep moving…

They were more dry than a traditional falalel (probably due to not frying) but they were pretty tasty, and on a pita with a little sauce the dryness wasn't noticeable. I'm thinking of making them again for easy lunches.

@Melodieccurn for the kettlebell workout do we only need to do it once?
-
Weigh ins need to be reported by thursday to count for that week. If you miss 3 in a row you'll be eliminated

Oil-free baked falafels (taken from The Oh She Glows Cookbook) makes 22 falafels 3 cloves garlic 1/2 cup red onion 1/3 cup packed cilantro leaves 1/3 cup packed parsley leaves 1 15-oz can chickpeas, drained and rinsed 2 tbsp ground flaxseed 1/4 cup plus 6 tbsp sprouted-grain bread crumbs (I just use regular bread) 1/2 tsp…

Good morning team 9! Those belly dance videos were harder than I was expecting! I knew I'd have trouble with the coordination but I really felt it in my hips and core! Today is the last day of our Egypt week! I'm going to make falafels for dinner. It's not a strictly Egyptian recipe but I figure it's close enough. I'll…

@Headrain - Last week I had a lot of people mia so I sent private messages to the people who hadn't logged in reminding them to fill in the spreadsheet. A few of them posted right away and overall it's been better this week. You could try that and see if you get any responses. :)

Happy weekend everyone! Please be sure to add your minutes/challenges to the spreadsheet. It looks like a lot of people are working hard to get the minutes in, that's great! Keep up the good work everyone! The stair climbing challenge has really made me think about how many I use during the day. I'm still having some…

@sukkara both of those soups sound delicious! We may be having more soup this weekend!
-
@vazquezmom7 I did make it, it was pretty good! It's not how I usually cook with red lentils so it was nice to try something different. Here is the recipe: Ingredients 2 tbsp butter 1 medium onion, chopped 2 carrots, chopped 3 celery ribs, chopped 3 garlic cloves 1 tsp ground cumin 1/2 tsp ground coriander…

Well it is a miserable day here, pouring rain. I think I'll try to find an Egyptian soup recipe to make for dinner. Has anyone tried any new or interesting Egyptian foods this week? If my soup is good I'll share the recipe!
-
Yes the activity challenges count toward your minutes so be sure to include those when you add to the spreadsheet!

@vazquezmom7 good job with finding stairs! too bad you can't just go to the movies everyday! :p We have a lot of hills here so finding stairs is not a problem. I went up a big flight on my run yesterday, 84 total (7 flights), I did it twice so that really helped my stair count! I turned on the stair counter on my fitbit…
