Thanks for being honest. All you can do is keep trying. I've had some up and down weeks too. But I'm getting disciplined again. I find that when I am undisciplined it's usually an emotional problem that's causing it.

How's everyone's progress? I'm still maintaining on the diet but no exercise yet. I go out for some hikes every now and then. I'm thinking about pulling the P90 DVD out and getting started on an exercise routine.

It's sorta low. The suggestion of reducing 100 calories is just taking it safe. It is easing people into it. People can choose to go lower. They just have to monitor what is going on. But you don't want to reduce too much or else you will be too hungry and risk the possibiilty of binging. I always recommend taking it slow…

That's right. And no, deducting a small amount like 100 calories will not be too much. It may be a little difficult at first because when you begin to cut calories you'll experience the feeling of being hungry. I don't know if it happens to everyone though. But this feeling goes away. I think when people first start…

My weight is not moving much. Goes up a few pounds, then down a few, and repeats. Need to work more on my mentality. Just been dealing with stress really. I think I still struggle with fear of succeeding. In other words, I sabotage myself. Need to think more about why I do that.

How was everyone's week? I did well, I was on point with my nutrition until last night. I was stressed and got talked into going out to eat. But I'm right back at it tracking my calories.

When it comes to other people, family included, you need to learn to set HARD boundaries. You have to become immune to their influence and criticism. You have to stick out from the pack and firmly let them know IT IS YOUR LIFE and you do not want their comments. The biggest problem for people with doing anything great in…

I don't even use noodles anymore. Whenever I want that spaghetti taste I cook up some meat, add sauce, then eat it with a slice of toast. I've noticed that whenever I am after that pasta or pizza taste it is really the sauce that I am craving most.

I think you need more help with your mindset and developing a healthier image. Everything else will follow after that. I see these kinds of threads all the time and people ignore their shame and other emotional issues. This is what is causing all your frustrations.

It's about control. When a person decides to lose weight they take control of their diet and body. Since they now have control and in better touch with their body they have better control of what they want to wear. You start liking your body more too. When you are overweight you tend to worry more what other people think,…

True. But as a general guideline it is something to worry about. Especially if they are not in recovery, which I find most are not. Many have these unconscious bad patterns because they never learned how it is to be healthy/normal. Their household was not healthy/normal. And they just pass this down in their relationships…

I also created a list of things I do not want, which is helpful. No women with daddy issues or coming from broken homes, no women with a bunch of kids, no recent divorcee's or multiple divorces, no women with a bunch of Exes, no women who use drugs, alcohol or have other addiction, no women that regularly hang out at bars,…

I've been lonely my whole adult life and I am 37. I never really had a family around. And friends have been few and far between. For awhile I did not care about GFs, marriage, kids, etc. But then I discovered I was missing out on something I always wanted. I also noticed I had these destructive patterns that caused me to…

Well, I think that if a person decides to eat better and exercise their mindset changes. They made the decision to become healthier, which will reinforce them to give up on bad habits. Another thing is that people with addictions don't really have a problem with the alcohol or drugs. They use that to medicate themselves so…

When I was really overweight I had chronic back pain (extra weight, plus bad posture) and I would have sore knees and ankles if I stood for long periods. After dropping some weight all this pain went away. First of all, carrying around extra weight, especially a lot of extra weight, is going to exert more pressure on your…
